Human Sensibility

Human sensibility is beyond the scope of space and time. It is not necessary to see or hear something ourselves before we believe or disbelieve it when people talk nonsense or exaggerate certain matters. We can use our wisdom or common sense to assess the matter judiciously. Nobody will believe that a certain man can fly and he is living in a cave deep in the jungle of Amazon. Our common sense will tell us that it is not possible but sometimes people tend to believe in fantasy and start searching for the flying man. He could just turn out to be a magician better than David Copperfield. But the world has a lot of mystical things unexplanable and beyond the knowledge of man.Our action and behavior is based on upon our heart. If we are feeling great, then whatever that we see around us would be beautiful. When we hear the bird singing and chirping away, we would think that it is singing beautifully or celebrating some happy events. But, if we are feeling down and hear the same bird chirping, we probably would not think of it as singing or may not hear it at all. Similarly, if you like a person, then every aspects of this person will be very appealing. However, some time later for some reasons you may dislike this person. At that time you will be irritated even if this person is laughing, smiling or behaving nicely or treat you like a king. This is known as psychological influence.It is quite amusing to observe and analyze human beings because we are such a strange being. If we just look at the tiny human cell which made up the human body, every cell has a nucleus. Each cell is actually a life form. Naturally, each organ in our body also consists of cells. These include our optical system, hearing system, digestive systems, detoxification system or reproductive system. The combinations of all these systems form the human body. However, if we cut one of our fingers off and keep it in the right environment, we can preserve it. It is independent by itself but when all these non-thinking, emotionless cells become an emotional being, it can scream and yell when it gets upset. They can behave nicely when they are happy and think of all sorts of ideas when they are inspired. This is beyond science, time and space to understand how strange it is; just like the feeling of love between two persons or happiness, where it is there and it is not there.Till today, scientists have yet to find a real answer to this phenomenon. There is no such thing as a laughing cell or crying cell or angry cell in the human body. They are all the same cells that carry life but no emotions and feelings. It is the same emotionless cells that form the various organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, kidney, brain and other parts of the body. The technology of today is so advance that the organs can be transplanted to someone in need. Some people with big hearts even donate their organs away before their passing away. They are not superstitious that they will be born without that organ if it was taken out and placed it into someone's body.There was a report in Taiwan that a very rich man desperately needed a heart transplant surgery. However, there was no donor and then there was a convicted armed robber who had been sentenced to death. Before his execution, he donated his organs to those in need. When the rich man was notified, he was rather curious to find out who was actually that kind. When he knew that it was the heart of the armed robber, he declined the offer and would rather die than to become a person with a crooked heart. And there was a very spiritual man who said that he cannot donate blood because his pure blood cannot be given or mixed with the impure recipient's blood. Human can be just blindly sensible at times.The biological heart itself has no thoughts. Not only the heart but even our brain is also thoughtless. Interestingly, we all seem to have our individual personalities, emotions, values and feelings. Where do all these come from? If we really examine and analyze a human being in deeper detail, we will find that we are quite a peculiar creature although today's scientists claim that all of our characteristics is dependent on our DNA or genetic structure. There is no DNA of a crook or DNA of a good or spiritual person. It does not mean that children of unrighteous people will be unrighteous and children of righteous people will be righteous. The thesis or theories of man only explain the physiology of a human being.Apart from the physiological structures, we also have our psychological and emotional attributes. Such attributes include our state of mind, ideas, ways of thinking and attitudes. These are the core factors that influence us greatly as to which direction we are heading in life. This is more important than the physiological part of the human. We cannot view life just as the transient moment between birth and death which there is no past nor future. Many people think that life is short so they must enjoy it to the extreme while they can. Unfortunately, many of them live a very empty life. They feel a great vacuum emotionally and spiritually and some think that when this life is over there will be no more life and they dare to do heinous thing to satisfy their desires.Human being is essentially a spiritual being. We are not a mere physical being and since this is so, we need to feed ourselves spiritually to replenish our spiritual energy. We cannot regard this as a trivial matter because it is the core of our existence. We are a sensible being with thoughts, ideas and perceptions. On the spiritual sense, many people may be doctrine in such a way that it becomes not sensible to do certain act or thing. This is the advice from my Heavenly Teacher JiGong,"You would ask the Teacher to help you. Why don't you ask yourself? From now on, you must take TRUTH as your Teacher. If you want to ask the Teacher, go and ask TRUTH & CONSCIENCE. Remember this: Hereafter, no matter how the worldly affairs change and how the circumstances vary, Co-operation, One-mindedness, Unity, Loving-kindness and Compassion are the conditions of returning HOME (Heaven of Truth, Kingdom of God). There is no need to request anything in front of "Fo" (Saints or Buddhas), no matter what. Appeal to Oneself, appeal to Truth, appeal to Conscience. That's already enough."The first thought is our conscience and instinct and it is pure and divine. Second thought is the human thought and it can be good or bad. At one time the question was also asked, "who is the teacher and who is the disciple?" The teacher is our own Heavenly Truth and conscience and the disciple is our own lost and misty heart.Author: T.A ChewT.A Chew realized that some people pray the whole day but still have to suffer the pain. He had gone through a broken heart and during that time he prayed very hard for the return. There was no return but the pain. A lesson learnt and God help those who help themselves.
