These look great on a patio or porch.Shrub Roses are normally small, hardy fairly continuesly blooming bushes that can be used as hedge (hedges can grow to 5 or 6 feet and provide inexpensive privacy and color), thicket and trellis (trellis roses can add a beautiful accent to a yard or home entryway and can be made into an arch) roses. There are even varieties that can be used as ground cover on embankments or planted in hanging pots.Today roses come in hundreds of varieties with new varieties being developed every year and in an almost limitless number of colors and color variations. It has been my experience, however, that usually the darker the color the heavier the scent. Everything Your Parents Did Not Tell You About Expectations

There are few things in life that effect our relationships, our ecounters and our interactions with other people as much as expectations.Every time we move in a new experience of any kind we conciously or unconciously create different sets of hopes about what it will be like, what will happen and so on. Often we also create fears, things we do not wish to happen. Meaning we create a set of expectations. These can be a powerful ally and they can also be a pit fall that can mess things up in the most well meant interactions.Imagine the following scenario; a Thursday meeting has been called at Department C3. On the agenda that has been sent out well in advance there is the item “Purchase of new computers”. Charlie goes to the meeting filled with a feeling of “finally it is time to get new computers” and looks forward to a quick decision that leads to buying and even better starting to use the new computers. On his way to the same meeting is Brian. He looks forward to meeting his collegues again and having time to discuss things that will lead to improvements in the workplace and of the company. He thinks “it is a great thing that a meeting has been called so we together can really find the best alternative for new computers”. Charlie arrives at the meeting looking forward to a fast and powerful decision, Brian arrives inspired by the thought of thorough discussion that leads to a well thought through decision.About fifteen minutes later Charlie and Brian have collided head on. Either in a verbal flow of words or in wordless communication in the form of sighs and frustrated body language. Charlie is highly annoyed perceiving Brian as a slow thinking snail and Brian feels that Charlie is a high-speed bulldozer that just wants to run people over. This image of each other, is not spoken of though, instead they hit it out by being extremely not in agreement on the size of RAM-memory in the new computers.It is clearly possible that there are other aspects of Charlies and Brians relationship that need to be dialogued, but if they had started the meeting with airing their expectations on meeting, they could have spent their energy talking about what their differences were really about, i.e. different expectations. Not on playing a mental and verbal tennis game around what is was really not about, i.e. the number of mega bytes in the RAM.The advice to you is a simple as it is powerful, make it a habit to start all your meetings with a round-up of the expectations on the meeting. If somebody expects a five-minute quick meeting and somebody else a one-hour thorough meeting it is of great value to get this out in to the open. Another example is if somebody wants a fact-filled decision meeting versus somebody else who feels it is important to spend time on discussing the relationships in the group, then that needs to be adressed also.Great is the number of relationships and conversations that have dug a hole for themselves due to unspoken expectations both in private life and at work. There is an expression that goes “assume makes an ASS out of U and ME”. There are many conflicts that I have encountered during my years of work in organizations and with people that could have been prevented and resolved in their early stages if the people involved would have been able to speak to each other about their mutual expectations on each other and the doings ahead.

Likewise consider our costs to produce energy in our nation. You earn credits bysurfing the traffic exchange and viewing sites. Those credits are used to displayyour website to other members. You can also purchase credits if don't want to spendyour time surfing other member's sites.There are 3 main types of traffic exchanges: manual exchanges, auto surfs andtoolbar exchanges.Manual exchanges are by far the best. There is a surfbar with a timer. When youstart your surf a countdown timer starts. It's generally between 15 and 30seconds. This is to ensure that people actually look at your website whilewaiting to view the next site. When the timer is finished you press the appropriatebutton to advance to the next site. On most surfbars you have to press a certaincolor button, or click on the highest number, or click on the correct image.These are randomized to prevent cheating. Auto surfs in my opinion are a complete waste of time. The person surfing doesnot have to actually view any sites. They simply start the surf and the surfbarautomatically advances to the next website in the queue after 15 or 20 seconds.You could be washing your car, or out shopping while the auto surf is earning youcredits. Most have no mechanism to get people to actually view your website. Sowhat's the point?Toolbar exchanges are becoming quite popular but their clickthrough rate isextremely low. The problem here is that the personhas to actually click your ad before they view your site. You can go along browsingnormally while your toolbar is showing ads and earning you credits. I find Ibarely notice them and am rarely enticed to actually click on them.The whole point of joining a traffic exchange is to gain exposure for yourwebsite, product or service and hopefully generate some sales or get signups fromthe other members of the traffic exchange and vice versa. Banks are defending themselves from class action lawsuits due to unethical practices in charging absurd fees for everything from withdrawing your money to closing your accounts. Banks are percieved as being highly ethical due to the fudiciary nature of the business, yet here they are being sued for precisely the opposite. Cell phone service providers, cable providers and a host of other huge national brand companies have slowly changed the face of business by hiding behind huge complex contracts that the consumer signs in order to obtain a simple service. In the contracts are fees that are never discussed and are simply hidden in the legalese of the contract. If a price is quoted as $40/month the end user is usually surprised to find in the bill an additional $20 to $40 in additional fees.Over the past 20 years this creep of hidden fees has become accepted by most of the end users as the price of doing business. Only because of the lack of competition due to mergers and buyouts have these companies been able to retain their customers. There has been a remarkable lack of backlash agianst these companies and their neferious ways of doing business until only recently. Companies have increased their return on investment (ROI) because of trickery rather than true business growth. While applying fee's is an acceptable way to increase revenue for a company the manner in which they do so is circumspect to say the least. There are several types of tarpaulin (tarp) systems for trucks that make covering a truck?s cargo easy. The most popular tarp systems are front to back or side-to-side systems. All of these systems secure cargo in the bed of the truck easily and safely. Front-to-back tarp systems feature long metal arms that hold the tarp in place. Some tarp systems have the tarp roll up into a cylinder behind the cab when it is not covering the bed, while other systems position the rolled-up tarp up over the truck?s cab. Front-to-back systems can be either manual or automatic. Automatic tarp systems have a switch in the cab that the operator flips to maneuver the tarp into place. Fill-in Flash Photography - Some Things You Should Know

I've been asked should I use my camera flash when taking photos outside and under the following conditions the answer is YES.If you're shooting a portrait or close up where the subject fills the frame completely and your shooting in bright sunlight where the person is partly back-lit, the answer is most definitely yes!It will bring the image to life by making it stand out against the background, it will also light up the face helping to remove unwanted shadows and adding a sparkle to the eyes.You see, when you are shooting pictures of people where the majority of the light is from behind or where the sun is reflected off water, without your flash turned on their face will be too dark .The same applies when the sun is casting a shadow across the face but with the use of your flash, you can eliminate dark shadows from the eyes and nose and create a better result which will please the most discerning critic. In affect this also helps to soften the face and in some cases helping to hide wrinkles, but remember you cant please everyone.Which reminds me of the story of the wrinkled old Woman that had her picture taken by the local portrait photographer and even after the photographer spent hours retouching her picture he still couldn't remove all her wrinkles. When she saw the picture she complained saying to the photographer, "This picture doesn't do me justice," he said "Madam you don't need justice you need mercy."Why then, does you camera take a dark picture when the subject is back-lit, you see the camera will be fooled by the bright back-lit surroundings and set the exposure to cope with the bright conditions only allowing the face to appear dark, but with your flash turned on you end up with the perfect picture every time, so much so that your friends will ask how you did it. Also remember to use flash when bright sunlight is casting shadows over the subjects face, even if the conditions are not back-lit, it will also add a sparkle to the eyes.By using your flash or turning flash on, you will fill-in the shadow areas making your picture much more pleasing.Photographers please note, the best time of the day to shoot people is about two hours before sunset or two hours after sunrise, when the shadows are long and the light is soft and warm in color, especially by the ocean. It's no wonder that professional fashion photographers shoot around this time of day.Consider the days when I started out studying to be a young photographer at the age 13/14, the camera was a medium format size roll film camera, image size 6x6cm. and the film size was 120 black and white negative.There was NO built-in camera flash, in fact there was no electronic flash, period. I use to own a flash gun that used flash bulbs, which I attached to the camera with the flash sync cable plugged into the camera bulb flash socket. The flash bulb was like a light bulb in size which you screwed into the flash guns bulb holder directly in front of the large flash reflector. The bulb was filled with magnesium wire and when you fired the shutter the batteries in the flash gun would ignite the magnesium in the flash bulb and create a flash. The flash bulb was covered with a protective layer of plastic to prevent it from exploding and I seem to remember that most times it was successful in doing so, but on the odd occasion it would explode... quite an alarming experience. It was a good idea not to work too close to the subject!Back in the early fifties, it was quite an undertaking to shoot any event. But I was busy studying photography at school and in my spare time and was learning the basics.Soon the early electronic flash guns started to arrive on the market and I remember that they had huge power-packs that you carried on your shoulder via a shoulder strap. Also flash guns were starting to get popular with novice photographers, with smaller size flash bulbs and then later the smaller electronic flash guns.What does this mean to you, very little I expect but it may be of some interest to those of who might be of the same age as I was then, to know how far we have advanced. Just think for a moment and supposing you are 14 years of age now, how far things would have advanced when you get to be my age...But you know, the same conditions apply when shooting an image if your in a 'professional mode', I mean careful composition of you picture, correct exposure and lighting and although with the advance of digital cameras the technology has changed, the above mentioned facts apply and are still as relevant to day as they ever were, plus the added advantage of your computer and the ability of digital manipulation.To learn more about your Flash Photography go here: Flash Photography Pro Secrets
