11 FAQs You Should Know About Xenon Lighting

Author : Tom Farin

Over the past few years the use of xenon light sources has become increasingly popular especially in the home. Xenon light bulbs are being used in under cabinet fixtures, cove lighting, cabinet lighting, desk lamps, backlighting, step lights, showcase lighting, book case lighting, and picture lights. Here are eleven frequently asked questions about xenon lighting - and their answers.Q) What makes certain light fixtures xenon fixtures? A) Xenon gas has been introduced into the glass envelopes of the light bulbs in these fixtures.Q) Why add xenon gas to the other gases inside the glass envelope of a light bulb? A) The primary reason is that the addition of xenon gas into the glass envelope increases the rated life of the lamp.Q) What is the rated life of xenon light bulbs? A) Depending on the lamp the rated life of a xenon lamp is somewhere between 8,000 and 20,000 hours.Q) What does the term, "rated life", of a light bulb mean? A) The "rated life" of a lamp signifies the time at which 50% of a large quantity of these lamps will have burned out. This means that 50% of these lamps will burn out before the "rated life" and 50% will burn out after the "rated life. The "rated life" does not mean that every one of the lamps will last at least that long.Q) Is this definition of "rated life" true for all types of light bulbs or just xenon light bulbs? A) Yes, this is the standard definition for the rated life for all lamps.Q) Do xenon light bulbs operate cooler than halogen light bulbs? A) Yes, they do. Line voltage (120 volts) xenon lamps operate especially cooler than line voltage halogen lamps, which can become extremely hot.Q) Are xenon light bulbs dimmable? A) Definitely, and dimming a xenon lamp will, of course, increase its average life even more than the rated life.Q) What kind of dimmer should be used with xenon light bulbs? A) If the low voltage xenon lamp (12 volts or 24 volts) is powered by an electronic transformer, then the dimmer should be one that is designed to control an electronic low voltage transformer. If the low voltage xenon lamp (12 volts or 24 volts) is powered by a magnetic transformer, then the dimmer should be one that is designed to control a magnetic low voltage transformer. If, however, the xenon lamp is line voltage (120 volts), then the dimmer should simply be a line voltage dimmer.Q) What "kind of light" is given off by xenon light bulbs? A) Xenon lamps have a color temperature that is between ordinary incandescent and halogen. That is, the light from a xenon lamp is cooler in appearance than an incandescent lamp but warmer in appearance than a halogen lamp.Q) Do I have to be concerned about touching a xenon light bulb with my bare hands? A) Unlike JC halogen lamps, xenon lamps may be handled with bare hands without experiencing premature lamp failure. (Caution: always wait for the xenon lamp to cool down before touching it.)Q) Can I replace my halogen light bulbs with comparable xenon light bulbs? A) Yes, as long as the xenon lamp has the same wattage rating, the same voltage rating, the same type of base (bipin, wedge, festoon, etc.), and the same shape and size glass envelope as the halogen lamp. Seven Keys to Get Out of a Rut

Author : Paul Lemberg
Rut -- a routine procedure, situation, or way of life that
has become uninteresting and tiresome... And not
surprisingly, unprofitable.

They say a rut is a shallow grave with two open ends. The
good news (good news?!) is that the ends ARE still open,
which means if you act fast, you just might out of it. How
do we get into these ruts anyway? Who would voluntarily lie
down in that grave, shallow or otherwise?

Dr. Edward Debono suggests that thoughts are pathways
literally "etched" in our brain as electrical connections
that get strengthened each time we think them -- thus
limiting our mental options. Just like cow paths. It all
begins when one of the cows wanders home from the field
along a new path. Being cows, others naturally follow,
nicely beating down the grass. The next evening our intrepid
cow is a bit less bold, and follows her own freshly trampled
path, fellow cows in lockstep behind her. And so on, night
after night, widening the path into a footpath, which over
time becomes hardened into a dirt road.

More time passes and the road is paved into a street, then
an avenue, a two-lane highway, and ultimately an interstate.
By the time you come roaring up the onramp in your shiny
SUV, your direction is all mapped out in front of you.
There's no way to turn, and no where to go but towards the
next exit.

If you want to chart a fresh direction you are going to have
to grab the steering wheel and give it a hard, gut-wrenching
yank to the right. And so it is with your thoughts and
actions. Repeating them a few times all but insures you will
comfortably repeat them indefinitely unless you take
deliberate - possibly disruptive -- action to do otherwise.

Here are 7 rut busters I use with my business coaching
clients that you can apply immediately to get yourself and
your business out of a rut.

Shift your mindset from self to customer. Most business
people think of themselves first. They craft product and
service offers from their own perspective and consider
themselves the beneficiaries of their actions.

While that's not wrong, to get out of your rut do this: put
yourself into the mind of your customer. Who are these
people anyway? What are they concerned about? What are they
trying to accomplish?

If you were your customer, what would you think of that new
product, marketing campaign, or mail piece? Are you selling
your wonderful "stuff", or are you providing them tangible,
meaningful benefits. Ask, "If I were the customer, would I
care?" And if not, consider, "What WOULD I get excited
about?"

Shift your mindset from customer to client. A customer is someone who buys your goods or services. The original
meaning of client is entirely different: someone who is
under your care and protection.

Now that's a switch, isn't it? If they're customers, your
goal is to get them to buy something. But if you were to
think of them as under your care - would you approach your
business from another angle? How would you take care of
them? How would you "protect" them? What new programs would
you want to implement immediately?

Revisit your vision. Whenever I feel like I'm in a rut I
return to my vision and I do 2 things. First, I make sure it
still inspires me and that it is pointing me in the
direction I want to go. Once sure, I put pen to paper and
rewrite it. Not just once, but over and over. And I keep
writing until I can't write it anymore because I'm jumping
up and down with a new idea I must do something about right
away.

Conduct a Survey If you don't know what to do next, ask
your clients. (They are clients, aren't they?) Conduct a
survey about anything that interests you. Ask them what's
bothering them. Ask them what they're stuck on. Ask them
what they like about your company and what they'd like you
to do next. Ask them about new features, or new products, or
new services.

If you're not happy with your current customers, conduct a
survey among the kind of people you'd like to have as
customers. And, if you can't do that, conduct a survey
online. Write an attractive search engine ad, promise
something of value, and drive people to a survey page. Ask
them anything you like - the answers will almost always
provide you with a neat mind-shift.

Focus on building your strengths and dump your
weaknesses. From the time we are little children we are
taught to better ourselves by working on our weaknesses.
This is often both frustrating and fruitless, and certainly
not as much fun as practicing our strengths.

Try this on: What if you focused 100 percent of your energy
on being world-class in those few things at which you are
already very good, and out-tasked or outsourced those things
at which you were mediocre. Imagine if you never had to face
any of those things again and could spend all your time
doing the good stuff. Would that change the way you felt
about your business? Would that bust you out of your rut?

Not if, but how. Think of that wild and crazy idea you
had recently. The one where you said to yourself, "That
would be great, but there's just no way." Well, I know
there's no way - you just said so -- but if there was a way,
what would it be? Answer that question as if you believed it
was possible - probable even -- and then get busy making it
real. That's power, you know -- turning your vision into
reality. Talk about a breakthrough!

What are you willing to sacrifice? Some important things
are more important than other important things, and trying
to keep all those plates spinning in the air saps your vigor
for the ones that truly matter. Dissipated energy - lethargy
-- is one of the reasons we lie down in that rut in the
first place, and dropping a few of those plates can really
help things break loose.

So let go. Make the sacrifice. Clear your plate and give up
some of those precious things you've been holding on to.
Focus your vitality on plans which will really rock your
world. Ruts? Who needs 'em.

10 Straightforward Tips on Receiving Constructive Feedback

Author : Michaela Scherr
After the initial nervous breakdown, banging head on keyboard and brick wall (I suggest you restrain yourself from doing this - it hurts and leaves funny indentations in your forehead!) and sheer indignation of how could 'they' (whoever they are) think that? I calmed down and started dissecting each piece of information carefully.Only the other day a very experienced IT professional friend of mine rang me to say my website had lots of meat but no sizzle. Well wasn't that great news? Although this was constructive feedback, it still managed to take the wind out of my sails for a short while.I've since taken this feedback onboard and am tossing around a few ideas here and there so I can give my website that much needed zazazoom it's meant to have!In the past I've also requested feedback when job applications have been unsuccessful so I can learn to do better next time.Sometimes people will ask for feedback when what they're really after is approval, especially when we think we're doing a great job. When they hear what they'd rather not they go out and kick the cat, dog, or punching bag, whatever is handy, have a few drinks, or telephone all their friends.
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962)To receive honest, constructive feedback is much like receiving a gift, whether we think so or not at the time. The challenge is to receive feedback with an open mind and learn from it, and disregard our natural instinct to defend our selves or our actions. On the other side of the coin it also takes true courage to give good, constructive feedback for fear of a negative response or reprisal, even if the feedback was requested.Below are 10 straightforward tips for coping with feedback:** Work on the attitude of feedback is fun, enlightening and a great learning tool as opposed to feedback is scary and to be avoided at all costs.** Feedback is someone else's opinion however there may be an element of truth in there even if the size of an atom.** Consider the experience level of the person giving feedback (did you really ask your partner for feedback?).** Allow the other person to complete what they're saying; wait at least 3 seconds before responding as opposed to reacting.** Centre and balance yourself by taking several slow deep breaths before the feedback discussion takes place.** Never take it personally.** Employ the attitude that this is a learning experience, learn what you can from it, even if it means you've learned how not to give feedback.** Be totally in the present moment. It's the best place to be for paying attention.** Remember the reason you wanted this feedback.** Finally, thank the person for their feedback (even though privately you may not agree with it). The fact they gave it to you gives you the option of choosing to act on it, consider it or simply just ignore it.Receiving constructive feedback needn't be an anxiety filled experience. Having the attitude that feedback is a gift in disguise may be what will enable you to move mountains for you in the long term. Now back to putting the zazazoom into my sizzleless website!Copyright requirements are that it remains with Michaela Scherr and for the link to be "click able" or "live" at http://www.michaelascherr.comMichaela Scherr is a Transformational Coach, author of self help e-books and publisher of a monthly newsletter called From My Desk. Most Important Things You Need To Know Before Getting Japanese Kanji Symbols For Kanji Tattoos

Author : Jun Yamamoto
Have you ever considered getting a Kanji tattoo? If the answer is yes, it may be worthwhile reading this article for you.Today, thousands of people from western countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and from most of European countries have already some Japanese Kanji symbols tattooed into their skin. In other interesting cases, the Japanese Kanji symbols are often placed on cards, cars, motorcycles, and other personal things to express their uniqueness. Most of those people are eager to find a way of having one, or information about the Japanese Kanji symbols. For those who have considered themselves more unique than others, or who want to stand out from the crowd, having a tattoo designed with the Japanese Kanji symbols seems to be one of the best solutions for them, because of the fact that the Japanese Kanji symbols have three distinctive features; form, sound, and meaning. Kanji is a set of ideographic alphabets which represents concepts and ideas, by which you can easily put your thoughts and ideas in the Kanji symbols used. This is why Kanji tattoos have gotten so popular among unique people all over the world. With a Kanji tattoo, you can express how unique and special you are considering these features of Kanji symbols mentioned above. When having your name, a word or phrase translated into Kanji symbols, therefore, it is extremely important to choose accurate and appropriate ones that convey the meaning you wish to express with the Kanji tattoo. Why am I saying this here? Because I have seen so many people who unfortunately have wrongly-put Kanji symbols tattooed, or have them tattooed upside down in their skin! I really want you to avoid this kind of situation. Also, beware of picking wrong Kanji symbols scattered across the Web, and some of the Japanese name generators that you can access for free, which may only cost you in the end.In order for you to avoid this situation, I would strongly recommend consulting with a native speaker of Japanese who has a solid knowledge of the Japanese Kanji system. Based on my research on this subject, Your-Name-In-Japanese.com would be the best solution to this. Mr. Ken Suzuki, the operator of this site, is a native speaker of Japanese, and has been a reliable Japanese translator for many years. In case you decided to create a Kanji tattoo on your own, it is always safer for you have a Japanese translator check the Kanji symbols you are going to use, or consult a reliable resource like "The Image Dictionary of 500 Japanese Symbols for Creative People"Either way, just be sure to have the Kanji symbols that you are going to use for your tattoo checked by a professional Japanese translator.Jun Yamamoto is a professional translator (from English to Japanese) for many years, and is based in Tokyo, Japan. The Merging of Man and Moving Machine

Author : Lance Winslow
Driving around the country constantly touring the Nation often I feel as if I am one with the vehicle. Some people who are into racing, acrobatic flying, motor cycle racing and wind surfing have told me that they too understand this sensation, they feel connected in a sense. In the future perhaps there will be; The Merging of Man and Moving Machine. Is it really possible? Perhaps it is and maybe human scientists can make this happen. Consider if you will how Americans feel about their SUVs, sports cars and light trucks or how a young man feels about his race bike? Sure, well that makes sense. Kind of like the love of the automobile with most Americans. This topic came up recently with a couple of think tank members when one stated; "I know that when I drive a lot for several days, by the last day, I feel like I have become part of the vehicle and have some of the senses I always equate with movement that is not typical for humans."I use to feel like I was one with the motorcycles during racing and sometimes aircraft too for instance the Genies Tenie open cockpit homebuilt I owned. Once I began feeling that way after I purchased a new motorcycle; then I knew I was ready to take the motor cycle out and race it hard and win, of course I guess that goes without saying as that is the goal; to win I mean.I can foresee a time when people are hooked up to their hardware, vehicles, aircraft, space ship, whatever. Like with the Apache Attack Helicopters, but to the tenth degree, You know like the Roswell Alien Craft stories and stuff? Consider all this in 2006.Lance Winslow

Hurricanes Video Streaming

Author : Lance Winslow
Have you considered putting hurricanes on your web site? Well, you could put hurricanes video streaming on your web site and perhaps duty-free satellite images of each of the latest hurricanes and then people can click on them and watch the video streaming. It is bound to get lots of interest from Internet users and this means more frequent visitors to your web site. Video streaming for something as simple as a hurricane satellite image only takes up a little bit of bandwidth and it is a good idea. During the 2005 Atlantic tropical hurricane season hurricanes were the number one thing that was searched on the Internet. In other words people are looking for this material and they are interested in it.Therefore if your previous visitors know that this is on your web site they will return during each new hurricane to check out the storm or to learn more about it. This way you can have hurricanes on your web site along with video streaming and increase your traffic tremendously. It makes sense to put things that people are interested in as well as to help educate and inform the public on things that they care about. In doing so you will increase your traffic to your web site and make your visitors very happy. Please consider all this in 2006.Lance Winslow

Fastpitch Softball

Author : Kevin Stith

America has always been one of the most innovative and inventive nations of the world when it comes to sports. Softball is one of the finest innovations in the history of American sports. Softball is another close relative of the popular sport baseball, but with alterations. Softball, without a doubt is one of the most interesting games on the earth with multiple dimensions. This dynamic game of softball can be played in two broad ways based on which the game may be classified into two broad forms slow pitch and fast-pitch.Fast-pitch is basically a very defensive version of the game, and the game permits the pitcher (the player who throws the softball to the batter who waits to hit it) to dominate the scene and the entire proceedings of the game. Here the pitcher has the full opportunity to deliver the softball at a maximum speed. The throw is usually a very flat one, causing all the trouble for the batter to make the score, as hitting the ball becomes a really tough proposition. Quite obviously, there are a large number of strikeouts and a number of ground balls. Even the scores remain very low for such difficulties in facing the ball and enhance the scoring and the scoring rate. In a game of fast-pitch softball, the fielding team is allowed to field with nine players. The left, center and right fielder have the right to field in the outfield. The pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman and shortstop have their positions in the infield. There is a distinct dissimilarity between a fast-pitch softball and that of the baseball, is that there is no pitcher's mound as in baseball. However, women's fast-pitch softball made it to the Olympics in 1996, but this game of softball, including baseball, was dropped from the competition in 2005 from the 2012 games. Blinds

Author : Kent Pinkerton
Windows are an essential part of any home, office or any building because they allow natural light to come inside. Apart from that, windows enable us to look outside without actually having to leave home. However, there are times when there can be too much light coming in at a certain time of the day, and other times when we need privacy; hence, the need to cover the window. This is when blinds come into play.Blinds have become increasingly popular compared to curtains, especially in offices and public buildings. Blinds are the best choice because they give the best overall coverage and protection, come in various styles and colors, and can be made to fit all size of windows. Blinds also last longer than any fabric material, are easier to clean, easy to maintain and, most importantly, they can protect your furniture and carpet from the bright ultraviolet light of the sun.To get your money's worth, do not settle for second-rate blinds. Getting blinds is an investment; they should last until you get tired of them or until they have worn out beyond their years. Getting the right blinds to suit your taste is also important, because they are going to be 'hanging' around for awhile. Blinds should also be easy to handle, which means opening and closing them should be a breeze. You will be dazzled by your choices when you are actually on the hunt for the perfect blinds, as there are literally hundreds of different styles and colors to pick from, ranging from simple to exotic and funky. Whatever you fancy, choose the blinds that best suit your home or wherever you intend to place them, and make sure the color is also in perfect coordination with the color of the walls and tiles. The following are types of blinds you can choose from:--Vertical window blinds – these may not be the best choice of blinds because they can easily break if not handled carefully, and changing them can also be a bit troublesome. However, they are still widely used because they are a cheaper alternative and e--Plantation shutter window blinds – newly constructed homes now have opted for this kind of blinds as a standard choice because they are easy to clean and gives a homely touch. The only drawback is that to open them all the way you need to stand clear;--Roman shade window blinds – these are great since they come in various fabrics and styles, but lack in 100% protection. They do not block out enough light, as we would like, especially in more private rooms like the bedroom. If you are thinking of purchasing blinds remember to look for the kind of material you would like, whether it be wood, plastic or bamboo, and also if you would prefer the cords or cordless types.Blinds provides detailed information on Blinds, Venetian Blinds, Wood Blinds, Vinyl Blinds and more. Basic Soccer Rules

Author : Kevin McNally
Basic soccer rules are pretty simple to follow, the team that scores the most goals wins! Each team will consist of 11 starting players of which there is one goalkeeper and 10 outfield players. The game will be played on a soccer pitch and the field dimension will normally be just over 100 yards long although it could be shorter if it is a youth soccer game.Soccer teams are normally split into formations consisting of defence, goalkeeper and forwards. Each team will also nominate a captain although this role is not as significant as other sports such as cricket and rugby. The captain will start the game by tossing a coin with the referee and the winning captain has the option of selecting which way their team will shoot. This can be an advantage if there is a strong wind which could change direction by the time the teams reach the second half.Soccer games consist of two halves lasting 45 minutes each although injury time is often added by the referee to cover any stoppages. If the game is a cup tie, a world cup final for example then extra time will be played consisting of an extra two 15 minute periods. If the teams are still level at this stage the game will develop into a penalty shoot with each team nominating 5 penalty kick takers who will try and beat the goalkeeper from the penalty spot (12 yards) until one team wins.During the game the referee has the power to caution players and issue yellow and red cards. Yellow cards are issued for minor or a serious of fouls by the same player which results in a booking, however if two yellow cards are issued then this equals a red card and the offending player is sent off the field.A straight red card can be also be issued for serious foul play or denying an opponent a goalscoring opportunity. Each team has to have a minimum of 7 players on the field so if one team have more than 5 players sent off then the game would be abandoned, this is very rare but has happened a few times in violent games! One of the most important basic rules of soccer is the offside rule which basically prevents attacking players from gaining an unfair advantage as when a pass is made there has to be 2 opposition players closer to the goal than the attacking player. If the attacking player is level with a defender then he is still onside so play continues. The referee has two assistants (previously known as linesman) on either side of the field to help judge the offside rule.---------------------------------------------------

Getting The Best Deal On Personal Loans

Author : Peter Taylor
A personal loan is a sum that any adult individual borrows to fulfill his financial requirements. There are many purposes for which any individual can take a personal loan. Personal loans can be used to provide funds to buy a car, pay for your dream cruise or that remote island escapade, buy a boat, pay mortgage arrears, finance your home improvement plans, payment of alimony or paying for credit card bills etc. In fact personal loans can be taken for most of the financial emergencies you can think of.There are many banks and financial institutions, which provide personal loans. All of them have their own terms and conditions. To get the best deal on your personal loan you must ensure that you contact and consult as many lending institutions as possible. Tell them about your financial requirements and situation. Get quotes from them and check whether you can repay the personal loan with ease. The banks will provide you with a lump sum amount when you complete the formalities of getting the loan. The money can be used to fund your requirements. The amount banks will recover from you will include the debt, coupled with the interest charged on it over the repayment period. The longer the repayment term the less will be the interest to be paid on the personal loan.
Personal loans are preferred due to their flexibility. The two most common types of personal loans are secured and unsecured personal loans. The option of secured and unsecured personal loans are linked to the fact whether you can offer any property or fixed asset as collateral for the loan. These loans are discussed below in detail.Secured personal loanA loan secured against some immovable or movable asset is called a secured loan. These loans are easy to get since the lending institutions feel comfortable while giving them. The reason for their comfort is the collateral you provide. Secured personal loans have lower interests and easy repayment options. Lending institutions don’t hesitate in giving a large loan against high value collateral. Generally, secured personal loans are given against house owned by a person, but if you have put your house on mortgage you can still avail a secured personal loan against the proportion of the home you own.Banks and financial institutions often overlook negative credit ratings, CCJ, defaults or pending debts since they get collateral for their loan. Secured personal loans are available to individuals within 30 days of giving an application.Unsecured Personal LoanIn an unsecured personal loan the amount given by the bank or financial institution is not secured by collateral. The lending institution gives the loan solely on the creditworthiness of the person concerned. This type of loan has a greater element of risk for the lenders, so it carries a greater rate of interest and is often followed by a through background check on the financial soundness of the individual. The loan amount can start from as little as £500 and go up to £25,000. Since the loan is unsecured, lenders are wary of giving large amounts as loans. Unsecured personal loan is good for tenants, people who don’t own their homes and those who cannot offer anything as collateral. In case the borrower defaults on payments then the lender will use the credit agreement and take legal help in recovering the outstanding amount. Before jumping to a decision, the interest rate charged should be given a serious look while taking a personal loan. The amount of interest you will be charged, will decide what you finally pay to the bank. Lenders have a legal obligation to tell you the interest they will charge on your loan. The APR (Annual Percentage Rate) shows the real interest rate the banks will charge from you. The lower the APR, the better it will be for the borrower. The borrower is also advised to investigate whether the interest charged by banks is fixed, or a floating one. Ask the bank about prepayment penalties and other cost incurred in getting a loan.Every financial institution has its own way of enquiring about the borrowers. Some might want to ask personal questions, get a feel of what you will do with the loan amount and how you wish to build your future before lending you anything. Be prepared to answer such queries.Every loan that is taken has to be repaid. The banks and financial institutions derive part of their profits by the interest you pay. It is fine if everything goes as planned, and you repay the entire loan in due course with no hiccups. However life is known for its glorious uncertainties. Plans fail, calamities come and something disastrous often thwarts our plans. This might lead to repayment problems. This happens and one should not get panicky in such situations. If you get into one such situation, the first thing that you should do is to talk to your lender. They are interested in recovering their money, a mutually agreeable solution can be reached, which is less tense for you to manage and appears promising to lenders also.Peter Taylor is a senior financial analyst at easyfinance4u with acumen for finance and insurance. Raise Your Natural Hormones To Build Muscle Mass

Author : Jonathan Perez

Copyright (c) 2006 Jonathan PerezQuick question: What's more important to gain muscle mass, the amount of weight you lift or the amount of natural anabolic hormones your body releases in response to muscular stress (as is the case when performing a set)? The answer to that question is very important, since it can make the difference between a successful workout program and a bodybuilding routine that keeps you looking the same year after year. Some feel that as long as you continue to lift heavier and heavier weight, you are going to build muscle mass fast.Others say that in order to gain weight in the form of muscle, you should focus on training techniques that will force the body to release large amounts of anabolic hormones in the body, especially testosterone, growth hormone, and insulin, amongst others.I'm not going to beat around the bush...in order to gain weight from your bodybuilding workout program in the form of muscle your body's own anabolic hormones are going to have a bigger impact on muscle mass growth than lifting heavier and heavier weight. Here's why:You can lift all the weight in the world, you can be stronger than a bull, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to have large muscles. How many people do you know who can bench press hundreds and hundreds of pounds, yet their chests are flat as a board? How many individuals have you seen that squat a ton, and in good form, yet their thighs lack any kind of real muscle mass? How many powerlifters have you seen who can lift a building, yet they don't have the same muscular development as a bodybuilder that is only half as strong? However, one of the many reasons why anabolic steroids are so powerful and work at gaining muscle is because those that use steroids are literally injecting extra amounts of anabolic hormones. And many steroids aren't even that effective at building strength, but they sure can make you grow.If you have been using a workout routine that mainly focuses on strength and lifting heavier and heavier weight, without taking into account other factors that will signal the body to release its own hormones, then you may have noticed that you really aren't gaining the type of muscle you know you should be.Many tests have proven that those that focus on using bodybuilding techniques that signal the body to elevate its own anabolic hormones see a greater gain in muscle mass than those that focus on resting for long periods in order to be able to lift more weight.A test conducted in 2005 called "The impact of metabolic stress on hormonal responses and muscular contractions" is one such test.To make a long story short, use workout techniques that cause an accumulation of waste products (like lactic acid and hydrogen ions) in the muscle while you are exercising it.This is the "burning" and acidic sensation you feel when you are hitting a muscle. Now, don't get me wrong. Lifting heavier and heavier weight is important, but that shouldn't be the main focus of your workout program.Your priority should be:1) Cause a build up of these waste products and burning sensation in my muscles in the shortest amount of sets, exercises, and time necessary.then...2) Attempt to lift at least a couple pounds heavier than the time before. That way you get the best of both worlds. When your body senses this type of build up and stress in a muscle being trained it signals to release additional anabolic hormones......and the more anabolic hormones you have being released by your body the more muscle you are going to gain....And isn't that why we workout in the first place? How did a Cleveland Firefighter discover how to gain over 40 pounds of muscle weight WITHOUT using any supplements, no special diet, eating very low protein, and working out only 2 hours a week?Jonathan Perez has exposed the truth if you are tired of all the lies -Check it out -------> Bodybuilding Workout Program

3 Steps To Getting Hundreds Of Backlinks To Your Website Absolutely FREE

Author : Cory Threlfall

Link Popularity as you know plays a BIG part in your websites ranking within the Search Engines. So, the basic breakdown is, the more links pointing to your website, the higher up the search engines will rank your website.More importantly though is getting those High PR websites linking back to yours. The question at hand is... "How can I get those High PR links without having to buy High PR links and/or spend countless hours surfing the web for link partners with the possible potential of being denied?"And as webmasters, we can not afford to waste time, especially if your starting out on a part time basis. We must utilize every minute we can to getting the most out of our efforts. So with that being said, I'm going to reveal to you the 'Back Door' strategy I use for getting those High PR links to your website Absolutely FREE and have them begging you to come back. And the cool thing is this can be done following these 3 steps I'm about to mention so pay attention because if you do just this, you will not only get hundreds of backlinks to your website, you'll also get hundreds, if not thousands of Targeted visitors to your website at the same time......all for FREE!Are you ready?Good, because I am.Step #1. First you must write an Article. The first step is to write an related article about your Product or Service that draws the reader in and gets them to click through to your website once they finish reading it to find out more about you and your Product or Service. Now, your probably wondering why you have to write an article.Well, it's real simple actually because what do you get to put at the end of your article?Your 'Resource Box' with your website information and most important of all... your URL pointing back to your website. So when someone chooses to publish your article in their newsletter or on their website, blog or article directory, they MUST add your 'Resource Box' with your website information and URL.I know some of you are saying... "I don't know how to write an article" ... well, your not alone. Here are a few resources I've put together for you so you can get the basic idea of How-To structure your articles with ease or get someone else to write them for you.The first is an article I wrote called... THE 7 Step Formula For Writing POWERFUL Articles In Less Than An Hour.It will show you How-To structure your articles for easy writing. http://www.internetwondersezine.com/article_11.htmlThe second resource is Elance.com - http://www.elance.com - which is basically a place where you can go and submit a project by category and freelance writers, etc. will then bid on your project. You pick the winner and you set the budget. This will get you started in the right direction.Remember, your article is the Nuts and Bolts of this 'Back Linking' strategy, so make sure you put some effort into it to get it as much exposure as possible.Step #2. Submit your article to Article Directories. This is the next step and an important one at that because this is where your article or articles are going to get picked up by website owners and/or ezine publishers who are in constant need of fresh, quality information to feed their audiences hunger for information. There are literally hundreds of Article Directories out there and thousands of ezine publishers looking for quality content on a daily basis. And if they choose your article for publication, they must include your 'Resource Box' with your websites information and URL.It's all about the numbers. The more Article Directories and websites you submit your articles to, the more potential Backlinks you'll get to your website. And since Article Directories have recently adopted RSS(Real Simple Syndication) technology into the mix your articles will even get More mileage without you lifting a finger, creating even more Backlinks to your website.More on RSS in a minute. Are you starting to see the Power behind writing your own articles.I hope so.Step #3. Create your own RSS Feed for your articles. This last step is a very Powerful step as well. What you need to do is set up your own RSS Feed for your articles. Now, if you don't know what RSS is here's the basic definition...RSS is by definition - an acronym for 'Real Simple Syndication' or 'Rich Site Summary', and the .XML extension is the format used for distributing your news headlines via the Web, which is known as 'Syndication.'Syndication' is where the TRUE power of RSS is unleashed, getting your message or information across the web in an INSTANT to websites, subscribers and/or readers who subscribed to your RSS Feed. The easiest way for you to do this is to set up your own Blog either through...Wordpress.org - http://www.wordpress.orgOr through...Blogger.com - http://www.blogger.comWordpress is a little more advanced so I recommend if you don't have alot of experience with Blogs or installing scripts that you go set up a Blogger blog which will only take you less than 5 minutes to do.I'm just giving you some options, that's all.Once you've set up your Blog the only thing left for you to do is add you articles.TIP: Make sure you hyperlink your URL and use Anchor Text with your most targeted keywords. By doing this the Search Engine spiders will rank your website higher under that keyword term you specify in your Anchor Text. After you've added your articles all you have to do now is submit your new RSS Feed to RSS Directories and RSS Search Engines. Here's a few resources for you to get started with.Ping-O-Matic - http://pingomatic.comRSS Top 55 - http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55That's it.Now I know I dumped alot of information on you within this article so just take it Step-By-Step because once you implement it properly it will benefit you for years to come with Backlinks to your website and FREE targeted traffic via the Search Engines, Website Owners and eZine Publishers. Interviewing an Author: Don&#39t Be Left Speechless

Author :

<b>Interviewing an Author: Don't Be Left Speechless</b><br><p>&nbsp;by: <b>Stephen Earley Jordan</b><p><p><p><p>Edited by Jenny Wilson <p><p>Joyce Carol Oates. Langston Hughes. Anne Sexton. F. Scott Fitzgerald. Nikki Giovanni. The names of authors (dead and alive) can go on and on. But Ill let you have first pick! <p><p>You are in a room with some of your favorite authors. About ten of them. However, you are only allowed to invite one of them to Starbucks for a couple of chocolate mochas. Just you and your favorite author. It doesnt matter if the writer is deceaseduse your imagination! After all, youre a writer, right? <p><p>Oh dear, who shall it be? Should it be William Shakespeare with his purple pantaloons; Sylvia Plath who now vows to use an electric oven instead of gas; or should it be Maya Angelou and old playmates from her broken-hearted brothel? <p><p>Finally, you have selected an author. <p><p>You take him (or her) to Starbucks. You order the mochas. You sit down. As you open your mouth to ask the author questions nothing useful comes out. <p><p>Whats the problem? <p><p>Often times well chance upon moments when we can interview an author. And, with technology nowadays, methods of research and brainstorming have changed slightly. <p><p>1. Research the Author <p><p>Ask yourself, Is the author self-published or published in a traditional publishing house? <p><p>Actually, does it really matter?! No. Why? Because youre going to need to treat all authors the samewith much respect. Be laid back, and in turn, the interviewee will become comfortable and open-up to you. <p><p>After all, whether published or not, were all human. Before the interview, however, use your investigative reporting skills and attempt to discover as much as you can about the author. Surf the Internet for any hidden agendas internet-published writings the writer may have. Not only do you want to know about the authors book, but the personal life as well. Find out what makes the author tick. <p><p>2. Research their genre and subject matter <p><p>Does the author write poetry? Historical nonfiction? Dramatic nonfiction? Childrens literature? Discover how easy or difficult it is to publish in that particular area of writing. Before you meet up with the author, you must know their genre, as well as the basic themes. If the author writes only historical nonfictionwhats their subject matter? Pre-civil war? Early African Slave Trade? Cuban artwork? Compare and contrast authors in similar subject matters. <p><p>Learn as much as you can while you can. And, at the same time, be sure to formulate an opinion about the subject matter, whether it be pro or con. This will allow you to ask more in depth questions. <p><p>3. Dont Interrupt <p><p>Remember to ask your question then shut up. This isnt a time for you to reminisce of your (waning) writing skills. This is moment for the author to be in the spotlight. Listen to their responses, and make sure that you have a rebuttal question prepared in the back of your head. <p><p>After you are away from that particular topic, be sure to go to your next question. Though you may have your list of questionsits okay to ask the questions out-of-order. Actually, I highly recommend to adlib the questions. This will make the questions seem a bit more unforced. In short, treat your interview as if its just a regular discussion amongst friends. <p><p>Above all, I highly recommend to record the interview. Before you display your trusty hand-held recorder, ask the interviewee for permission to record them. Keep and label all used tapes with the authors name, date and location of the interview. You never know when that once self-published novelist will become the next Best Seller. <p><p><p><p><p><table width=100% cellpadding=8 cellspacing=0 border=0 bgcolor=#dddddd><p><tr><td><p><p><b>About The Author</b><br><p><p><p>Stephen Jordan has five years experience within the educational publishing industry. Spys in CyberWorld

Author : Kim Haas

Did you know your own computer is syping on you? Did you know
that every click you make on your windows start menu is logged
to a hidden, encrypted database in your computer?

It's very important that you read a site's privacy policy to
find out what information a web site gathers about you when you
visit and how they intend to use it.

People ARE spying on you!! Companies are beginning to check the
contents of their employees computers after working hours. Have
you been surfing and sending email during working hours? Would
your boss approve of this? If not, your job could be in jeopardy.

Think this sounds a bit outrageous?

--- July 2000 --- FACT: 50 Workers At Dow Chemical Co.'s
Headquarters Site In Michigan were fired and another 200 were
Disciplined for distributing, downloading or saving pictures
that were either pornographic or violent in nature.

FACT: Merck Fired Two Workers And Disciplined Several Dozen
Others for what the Company called "Inappropriate Use Of The
Internet."

FACT: Xerox Corporation, Fired 40 workers and The New York Times
terminated 23 employees at a Data Processing Center for similar
offenses.

--- January 5, 2001 --- Leading Insurance Company Royal and Sun
Alliance sacked 10 people and suspended at least 77 over the
distribution of "Lewd" E-mails.

Your computer keeps records of both your online and off-line
activities. Everything you do is recorded. If you view web
pages, movies or videos, play .wav or .midi files....it is all
recorded to your hard drive! Did you know that when you do a
search on the internet, this search information is recorded to
hidden, encrypted files on your PC? Do you really know what's
been downloaded or hidden on your computer?

Forensic analysis has become technologically superior in finding
evidence of all sorts. They can remove your PC's hard drive and
discover things about you that you probably didn't even know was
there. Things you "thought" you deleted. You might think you've
cleaned out all your sensitive files, but the truth is, many of
them are still there.

Peter Constantine of Data Discovery
http://www.teleport.com/~peterc/ ) says that "....today's
computers are "grabbing material and tucking it away in little
pigeonholes... The user has no idea that the data is out there."

Digital Intelligence, Inc,
http://www.digitalintel.com/freddie.htm ) has developed
F.R.E.D.D.I.E. (F)orensic (R)ecovery of (E)vidence (D)evice
(I)nterrogation (E)quipment which is portable and can be used in
a crime scene (or any other time for that matter) to recover
data from a multitude of electronic devices including, hard
drives, CD's, Floppys, Zip drives and tape cartridges.

Skeptical person that I am, I decided to do an experiment to
find out exactly HOW MUCH hidden stuff really was on my
computer. If you are a Windows 95/98 user, try this experiment
yourself.

1. Delete all your files from your Windows 95/98 recycle bin
using the standard 'Empty Recycle Bin' command. 2. Open your
browser and delete the history files and browser cache from your
preferences/options menu. 3. Open Windows Explorer and right
click on the drive letter you use for your main hard drive.
Select "Properties" 4. Write down your drive's total Capacity,
Used Space and Free Space; you'll need this later. 5. Download
the Evidence EliminatorT free trial program from
http://www.evidence-eliminator.com/go.shtml?A654789 6. Run the
Evidence Eliminator(TM). 7. Repeat step 3 and compare how much
free space is now available on your hard drive.

Here's the results of my experiment:

Total hard drive space 30,677,901,312 bytes (28.5GB)

Available space before Evidence Eliminator: 26,893,676,544 bytes
Available space AFTER Evidence Eliminator: 26,620,821,504 bytes

Total reclaimed space: 272,855,040 bytes

To translate, Evidence Eliminator(TM) removed over 260MB of
files from my computer! This isn't much for those of us who have
mega-space on our hard drives, but for those with more limited
space, 260MB is a lot!

Here's some astonishing information I discovered about files on
my computer:

295 Windows Application logs were found. These logs stored
information about what windows programs I've been using each day.

There were almost 90 "components" discovered and removed that
had "installed themselves" to my computer without my knowledge!

271 Start Menu Recent Documents logs were removed. This held
information about what programs I had selected from my Windows
Start Menu.

3601 IE cache files were found AFTER I had cleared my IE cache
and history!

1960 IE cookies were removed. I had full control over which
cookies I kept and which ones I did not.

5636 Windows .TMP files were found that were NOT removed using
the browser history delete options. Some of these files are the
result of extracting .zip files that were downloaded from the
internet, web pages I viewed off-line, .midi and .wav files
which downloaded during visits to web pages with background
music, etc.

My experiment proved to me that there IS information about me
and my computer usage habits that is stored on my computer which
takes up valuable space, not to mention information I might not
want to ever be public knowledge. It's always a good idea to
keep your computer clean of unwanted files and protect your
privacy at the same time.

Are you aware of every single file on your computer? You should
be! Protect yourself from Cyber-Spys and regain control of what
information is stored on your PC. In this world of high
technology, you never can tell when this information could be
found and used.

Reduce Holiday Stress with a Revolving Artificial Pre-lit Christmas Tree

Author : Nancy Fitzgerald
The holiday season is stressful enough without having to worry about tangled lights, fallen needles and branches, and three generations of family arguing over whose homemade decorations should be displayed in the front of the tree and whose will be relegated to rear, hidden from sight. An artificial pre-lit revolving Christmas tree can solve these problems as well as add a touch of grace and elegance to your family holiday tradition. An artificial pre-lit revolving Christmas tree, as the name implies, is an artificial (i.e. PVC or other flame retardant material—not a live tree) xmas tree with the lights pre-installed that is placed in a revolving tree stand.Installing a pre-lit artificial revolving Christmas tree is easy and can save your family from some of the problems associated with live, non-rotating trees. Since the tree is artificial, you will not need to worry about messy needles and branches, disposal problems, and watering. One of the most onerous chores faced every xmas is unraveling last years lights and then hunting down which individual dead bulbs have killed the entire string. This is not an issue with a pre-lit tree. Incorporating advanced fiber optic and LED technologies, pre-lit trees can provide astounding lighting effects without you having to untangle a single cord or replace a single bulb. Using a tree stand that revolves adds another elegant dimension to your holiday celebration. Since all faces of the tree are now visible, all ornaments are equally showcased and you won't have to pick and choose which family treasures will be seen.If you are seeking to add a little style to your holiday festivities while reducing hassles, an artificial pre-lit revolving Christmas tree might be just the thing for you.Nancy Fitzgerald makes it quick and easy to find the best Christmas trees. The Enclave Concept

Author : Jenny McLane

Built in the United States, Canada, and China by the General Motors Corporation, the Buick is a brand of vehicles that are sold in North America, China, Taiwan, and Israel. This brand originated as an independent motor car manufacturer, the Buick Motor Company, however was taken over by James Whiting in 1904 when the company was struggling. Soon after that, the brand soon became one of the largest car manufacturers in America. Come 1929, the Buick brand then launched the Marquette that was specifically designed to help bridge the price gap between the Buick and the Oldsmobile. The Buick is more often than not targeted towards customers who are comfortably well off, who are possibly not quite rich enough to be able to afford a Cadillac, but definitely in the market for a car that is cut above the norm. The emblem of this vehicle brand consists of three shields, each of these is bisected diagonally to the right by a straight line. The shields are arranged touching each other in a left-diagonal pattern inside a circle. The colors are strategically designed. The leftmost shield is red, the middle shield is white, and the rightmost shield is colored blue, although the white color is sometimes represented by light gray. This is more commonly known as the Trishield, which was adopted in 1959. One of the vehicles that bear this emblem and also bears the Buick lore is the Buick Enclave. People have conjured up that the name that this vehicle holds, Enclave, evokes images of style, luxury, and the privacy of a quiet, and protected space. This is a concept vehicle that is similar to the GMC Acadia and the Saturn Outlook. A midsize crossover SUV, this vehicle will be launched late this year for the year 2007. It was initially previewed at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. It has the General Motors? new Lambda architecture and is the first Lambda vehicle to be displayed. The Buick Enclave is destined to replace both of Buick?s current SUVs which includes the minivan-based Rendezvous and the truck-based Rainier. It holds features like a seating capacity for eight people, a generous interior space, and either a front-wheel driver or an all-wheel drive. It sure holds luxury in itself and combines the athletic proportion of a modern crossover vehicle with the romantic forms that is characterized by Buick?s rich design heritage. This vehicle delivers superior attention to detail, with its engineering carrying an innovative level of interior flexibility. It has a skylight that extends to almost the entire length of the passenger compartment. The Buick Enclave also has a unique in-dash/in-seat/overhead DVD system that allows passengers? viewing of up to four different DVD selections at once. It also offers passengers the ultimate in personalized, in-vehicle entertainment. For all

Future Blended Threats

Author : Simon Heron

On the face of it, the IT community is blessed with a
competitive, customer focused and responsive anti-malware
industry offering 24 hour operations centres, updates and
patches to quickly block any new viruses or attacks. And even
accepting that handling these patches in-house can be a bit of a
nightmare for customers you can nonetheless say that this works
reasonably well - can't you?

There is a problem with this view, and it stems from the
tendency to put security protection into neat little
compartments. Anti-virus updated - check - spyware protection in
place - check - and when all the boxes are ticked you can relax
and feel protected.

Except that threats don't always fit so neatly into well-defined
packages. Blended threats are increasingly common, and need a
holistic approach to block effectively. Blended threats use
numerous ways of spreading, whether it's email, SQL, Netbios or
whatever, and it requires a blended defence to stop them.

One of the more uncomfortable facts that we, as an industry,
need to face is that the revenues being generated from
'compartmentalised' anti-malware applications can amount to a
powerful vested interest- Vendors are frequently providing
protection solutions against single threats or multiple
solutions against multiple threats, and implying that customers
are safe, when the real story is more complex.

In particular, the difference between viruses and spam grows
ever smaller. Should phishing be classified as spam or as a
virus? Is an email with links to offensive porn just spam, or
should it be handled by your content filtering protection before
it even gets to the user?

We've also seen virus writers using spamming techniques to speed
the delivery of their viruses, and viruses used to create
"zombie" PCs to help in spam distribution. The crux of the
matter is that we don't want spam or viruses. If anti-virus and
anti-spam protection is separated, some viruses and spam will
fall between the two.

A well-configured firewall and up-to-date anti-virus protection
can deal with many threats. However, if you have a service that
you need to have open, such as HTTP, SQL or VoIP, then the
firewall cannot work effectively, as this traffic must be let
through.

In this case, the firewall and anti-virus are not enough. You
now need to tie in intrusion detection/prevention (IDP) to
prevent exploits like SQHell.

If you are running virtual private networks (VPNs), they need to
be restricted and scanned in the same way that a physical port
should be scanned and restricted. This means that VPNs should be
integrated with a firewall, IDP, anti-spam and anti-virus.

As well as coping with these blended threats, by linking
together different aspects of security, the overall performance
can be improved. For example, anti-spam protection works better
if it has access to a database of suspect URLs that it can
filter for. By tying the anti-spam engine to a content filtering
database like SurfControl, its effectiveness can be enhanced.

Another headache for security firms has been the port hopping
capability of peer-to-peer applications like Kazaa. If you block
the port that Kazaa is using, it can simply move to use another
port. In practice, this makes it very difficult to stop by
simply blocking ports.

On more sophisticated appliances, intrusion detection
capabilities can specifically block peer-to-peer applications.
But even without this capability, an intelligent use of a
quality of service (QoS) capability as part of your network
defences can provide an answer to the port-hopping problem.
Instead of blocking Kazaa all together, which it would recognise
and port hop to bypass, the QoS can reduce the throughput to
such a low level that the user no longer wants to use the
peer-to-peer application - without triggering port hopping.

Finally, it's important not to overlook the fact that someone
has to work out which anti-malware tools are best placed to
counter the latest blended threat and to manage all of your
security protection. By bringing together all the logging
facilities of your firewall, IDP, email, content filtering and
so on, reporting is clearer and fault finding is easier and
quicker. It is also quicker and easier for signatures and
defences to be updated and monitored.

So, if a unified approach to protection is the answer, how can
this be implemented? It almost goes without saying that the best
place to put this protection is at the network gateway -
blocking threats before they get onto the network provides the
most reliable solution. That's not to say there is not an
on-going role for protection at the desktop and sever level, but
it is to say that, for most networks, protection at this level
should be the secondary and not primarily layer of defence.

Several vendors are now offering threat protection appliances
that can provide the essentials of anti-virus, anti-spam,
content filtering, IDP and VPN. The market has now matured to
the point where such appliances can provide the same level of
protection as stand-alone security components, without
compromising on any particular aspect.

Author : B Shelton
Even if you've decided to go the FSBO route, you can use some tried and true realtor techniques to help your house sell blazingly fast.Fact: Houses that sell within the first two weeks they're listed usually fetch their asking price. It's simple human nature. Newer listings get the most attention, both from buyers and realtors. Once a house has been on the market more than a couple of weeks, realtors and buyers alike will start wondering what's wrong with it. Most often, the only thing 'wrong' with the house is that it's priced outside the neighborhood limits.A good realtor can help you avoid that mistake, but it's only one of the tricks and techniques that a realtor will use to help your house sell fast. Many of the techniques that professional real estate agents use are available to anyone. If you're looking for help to sell your house fast, here are a handful of tips that professional real estate agents use to get a sale moving in high gear.* Price your house right. The right price is within a few percentage points of recent sales of similar homes in your neighborhood.* Keep your house clutter-free and spotless, inside and out.* Schedule an Open House. Holding an open house on a weekend afternoon will get your house more exposure and help your house sell faster.* Advertise your property for sale in multiple venues. Use newspaper, local real estate magazines, online home sale web sites and post printed brochures on supermarket bulletin boards. The more places you post your house, the better the chance that you'll connect with a buyer.* Keep fresh flowers around. It may seem like a silly psychological trick, but realtors all agree - fresh flowers on the living room or kitchen table help a house sell.* Use Multiple Listing Service. Yes, you need to be a realtor to list a house on the MLS, but that doesn't mean that you have to pay a commission. There are realtors who'll accept a single, flat fee to list your house for you.* Pre-inspect. Any time you save in there will help your house sell faster.* Engage a good real estate lawyer to firm up the finishing and closing details. A lawyer will ensure that you don't miss anything that may affect and slow totally derail the sale of your house.* Organize all your papers and have them handy. Those include not only your deed and real estate surveys, but any warranties for home improvements, major appliances and home systems. The more that you get done in advance of posting your listing, the more you'll help your house sell fast.Brian Shelton makes it easy to sell your house fast. Are You Covered With a Standard Homeowner's Insurance Policy?

Author : Finn Jensen
With a standard homeowner’s insurance policy in your hand it includes four important types of coverage. They include: Coverage for the construction of your home, Coverage for your private belongings, Liability security, Additional living costs in the occasion you are for the time being unable to live in your home because of a fire or other insured disaster.1.The construction of your house
This part of your policy pays to fix or reconstruct your home if it is damaged or shattered by fire, hurricane, hail, lightning or other catastrophe listed in your policy. It will not compensate for damage caused by a flood, earthquake or routine wear and tear. When purchasing coverage for the construction of your home, it is vital to buy enough to reconstruct your home. Most standard policies also cover structures that are separate from your home such as a garage, tool shed or porch. Generally, these structures are covered for about 10% of the total of insurance you have on the construction of your house. If you need additional coverage, talk to your insurance agent about purchasing extra insurance.2.Your private belongings
Your furniture, clothes, sports equipment and other private stuff are covered if they are stolen or destroyed by fire, hurricane or other insured catastrophe. Most companies offer coverage for 50% to 70% of the total of insurance you have on the construction of your house. So if you have $100,000 worth of insurance on the construction of your house, you would have between $50,000 to $70,000 worth of coverage for your belongings. The most excellent way to determine if this is enough coverage is to carry out a home inventory. This element of your policy includes off-premises coverage. This means that your stuff are covered anywhere in the world, except if you have decided against off-premises coverage. Some companies limit the amount to 10% of the total of insurance you have for your belongings. You have up to $500 of coverage for illegal use of your credit cards.Costly items like jewellery, furs and silverware are covered, but there are more often than not dollar limits if they are stolen. Generally, you are covered for between $1,000 to $2,000 for all of your jewellery and furs. To assure these items to their full worth, purchase an individual property endorsement and cover the item for its appraised price. Coverage includes “accidental disappearance,” meaning coverage if you merely lose that item. And there is no deductible.3.Liability security
Liability covers you against lawsuits for physical hurt or assets damage that you or family members cause to other people. It furthermore pays for damage caused by your pets. So, if your son, daughter or dog unintentionally ruins your neighbour’s high-priced rug, you are covered. However, if they demolish your rug, you are not covered. The liability part of your policy pays for equally the cost of defending you in court and any court awards, up to the boundary of your policy. You are also covered not just in your house, but wherever you are in the world.Liability limits usually start at about $100,000. Though, experts advocate that you purchase at least $300,000 worth of security. Some people feel more secure with even more coverage. You can buy an umbrella or excess liability policy, they provide broader coverage; including claims against you for libel and slander, as well as higher liability limits. In general, umbrella policies cost about $200 to $350 for $1 million of extra liability protection.Your policy furthermore provides no-fault health coverage. In the event a friend or neighbour is wounded in your home, he or she can simply send medical bills to your insurance company. This way, expenses are compensated without a liability claim being filed against you. You can in general get $1,000 to $5,000 worth of this coverage. It does not, on the other hand, pay the medical bills for your family or your pet.4.Additional living costs
This pays the added costs of living away from home if you can't live there because of damage from a fire, storm or other insured catastrophe. It covers hotel bills, restaurant meals and other living costs incurred while your home is being rebuilt. Coverage for extra living costs differs from company to company. Many policies offer coverage for about 20% of the insurance on your home. You can add to this coverage, but, for an added premium.Huge amount of Home Insurance Information at this site. Raise Your Website Traffic with RSS - Blogs and YAHOO! Part 1.

Author : Kamau Austin

By Kamau AustinIt is the trend du jour. They are the subject of pundit press, guru glare, and is ready for mainstream adoption. RSS feeds and their communication kin the blog -- are bandied about as the next big thing.Everywhere you look there are articles and ebooks touting the electronic affinity and high value of these two forms of media creation and distribution. However can these two forms of digital media drive more traffic to your site, or -- are they just hype?Blogs are short for web logs and are like daily dairies on the web. Blogs started out as ways for Internet reality types to share their lives with other people on the web, without having to learn very complicated web design applications like Dreamweaver or Microsoft FrontPage. While on the other hand RSS feeds are the natural extension of Blogs. RSS without getting into all the arguments over the name (for the purpose of this article) stands for Really Simple Syndication.RSS feeds can take your blog postings and syndicate a preview of your blog headlines all over the Internet. Therefore in theory RSS feeds can drive traffic to your blogs and websites similar to how search engines have become major marketing channels. If your blogs headlines are syndicated on major high traffic websites, RSS directories and Internet Portals it could be another major source of traffic to your website. But how effective is blog marketing to the average Internet marketer who doesn?t have a major personal brand name like John Reese, Yanik Silver, or Dr. Ken Evoy? This question is reflected in the concerns of bottom-line focused Stephanie McIntyre, president of eSales Unlimited, an eBay Power Seller, auction trainer and coach. Stephanie has generated over $200,000 in profitable sales on eBay and has low tolerance for marketing hype."I am not convinced that blogging can really drive traffic or profitable sales states Ms. McIntyre. Internet Gurus like James Maduk haven?t convinced me that I can really make money with a blog."She isn?t alone in her skepticism. Many online business people are confused why all this hype is being created about blogs and RSS feeds. Many wonder if they can really deliver in their potential to drive more traffic and sales to business orientated Internet websites. In short, can blogs and RSS boost really boost our website traffic? I put the technology to the test in the last four weeks to get some definite answers.I found blogs are having some major income impact on the bottom-line of some companies and business people.Despite many reservations by some Netpreneurs blogs and RSS feeds have been boosting the bottom-lines of some marketers. Willie Crawford, a well known Internet marketer generates over $1000 dollars a day from mostly blog generated Adsense? revenue. Blogging for Crawford has become yet another profitable part of his business.Weblogs Inc., a publisher of almost 100 targeted niche blogs is noted as being on its way to generating 1 million dollars in Adsense? revenue! This had to be a compelling reason for AOL to recently buy Weblogs Inc., for a whopping 25 million.Still another very successful Internet business person I spoke with (who doesn?t what to be identified) uses blogs as a form of buzz advertising resulting in $50,000 in indirect eCommerce sales when properly timed. This business person does close to 17 million dollars in online sales.I also have been having good success saving time and money by publishing quickly with blogs. My blogs generated good income for me however I wanted to see if the distribution of my blog headline via RSS feeds would bring in any new revenues. One of the promotional ways blogs and RSS are purported to increase your online traffic is the strategy of increasing your website?s traffic with what I call horizontal SEO. Horizontal SEO is called "winning the search engine lottery" by Internet sales star John Reese. Most SEO firms and web marketers focus solely on high rankings for popular keywords (Vertical SEO) . In contrast a more comprehensive search engine driven Internet marketing campaign would scale more horizontally or deeper with more rich keyword informed content pages. In other words a horizontal SEO campaign would be like playing the lottery. Your odds of winning the lottery are greater if you have more tickets.According to Reese "search engines algorithms change from day to day. Therefore your ranking will go up or down. But if you have more and more tickets in the SEO lottery you have a better chance of winning."Blogs and RSS feeds give you the ability to create and distribute a lot of web information (content) on the fly that?s distributed throughout the Internet at myriad media outlets. Blogs and RSS feeds drive more traffic to your site by helping you win the SEO lottery with horizontal SEO.Blogs and RSS can be the easiest and most efficient way to win the SEO lottery. They do this by creating lots of targeted niche content on your and other partner sites that carry your feeds. In the last 4 weeks I launched a website with a blog component without optimizing it in the traditional vertical SEO fashion. It doesn?t appear on top of any search engine results worth mentioning. I wanted to see if the blog powered by RSS feed would drive significant traffic to my site. The results are amazing! I been totally blown away by the research. Check out why I have become a big believer in blogging and RSS in part 2 of this article. Learn Copywriting Testing Secrets: How To Accurately And Quickly Test And Tweak Your Sales Page

Author : Terry Brazil II
Writing copy for your sales letter can be a very tedious and nerve wracking experience. There is nothing like the feeling that you just wrote a killer sales letter just to find out that it will not make one single sale. This is why testing your copy is so important. Testing and tweaking your copy could make the difference between a sales letter that converts at .005% and one that converts at .05%. This may not look like a lot to some people, but if you are familiar with the world of marketing you will know this is a huge difference. Actually the second of the two will pull in ten times more sales for you. This ultimately means that you are leaving huge sums of cash on the table if you do not optimize your sales letters. But still there are a large amount of marketers that don't even try tweaking their copy to pull in more sales. They simply leave it the way it was originally made hoping that it will start converting for them.Unfortunately testing your sales letter to the point you are satisfied with it can take weeks if not months. You have to make a change and see if it has improved your conversion. Then you have to repeat this process the whole way through the sales letter changing only one thing at a time until you believe and hope that you hit every troubled spot that is turning your visitors off and causing them to exit the page. There is a lot of guess work involved in this process. If you don't want to deal with all of the waiting and guess work that goes into this the only thing I can suggest is to check out Intra Trakker. It will cut your testing time down from weeks to virtually over night. But we will assume that you don't have a copy of this software. So instead I will show you an advanced way to manually test your copy. The first thing you want to do is install a hit counter like what StatCounter offers on your sales copy page that will keep track of how long a visitor stays on any certain page. This is one thing that many people do not do. This will give us a general idea of where we are loosing the reader.Since this will be your first run the counters information should be zeroed out and we can get a semi accurate estimate of where the readers stopped reading by seeing how long they stayed on the page. Use some sort of PPC site like AdWords or Overture to direct some traffic to your site. This will help speed up the process a little bit. After you have received about one hundred visitors check and see how long they stayed on the page. Then you need to go and time yourself while reading your sales page. If most people exited your page between 0 seconds and 30 seconds then you focus on the copy just above where you where at about 30 seconds into reading your sales copy. If this happened it is obviously your headline or subhead.Once you have made a single change to your copy go ahead and reset your counter so it clears the old information out. You have to do this after every change. The information on how long people where visiting your site will be way off. I know it is a pain but you have to do it.Tip: Never change more than one item on your copy at a time unless it is a blatant error on you part. If you change more than one thing you will not know exactly what was responsible for the change in your conversion. Now that you know how to check how long your visitors stayed you will not be changing things that are already working in your favor. Many people will jump and change their headline right away when it really was the body or the bullet points that where not working for them. Most of the times the headline may have been perfectly fine and it was half way through that the sales copy was loosing people. This is another major waste of time when writing copy. It is vital to know where your sales page is loosing the customer. After you have found the troubled areas in your copy. Make changes one at a time until your copy is like a wet slide that leads customers right down to your order button.Once you have achieved that you can change little things here and there to get your copy to convert better. Try to make it so you can get as many people as possible to at least read through the whole sales letter and then try harder to get more people to buy. As long as you keep at it you will make your copy work. This article originally posted on this page to learn more about Intra Trakker and how it will benifit your sales copy. - http://www.guruofinfo.com/Recommends/intratrakker

iPod Wireless Speakers and Headphones

Author : Dale Ewans

The iPod seems to have induced a certain trend in the consumer electronics industry as many companies on the market rushed to manufacture accessories for the little device that allows you to take music with you wherever you go. Speakers and headphones were among the first choices as iPod accessories for consumer electronics companies. The next step was wireless speakers and headphones to allow more freedom of movement. We'll try to discuss the pros and cons of wireless peripherals for the iPod as well as the models that each wireless component works with.LogitechLogitech began marketing in 2005 a wireless headphone unit that works with any model of iPod that has a dock connector on the base. This feature is standard on all new models and is available on older models as well. The headphones use Bluetooth technology to connect to the iPod through an adapter that transmits the signal. They come with rechargeable batteries that supposedly can play up to eight hours of music per charge. The wireless headset is very light and weighs only 3.2 ounces, with the adapter unit weighing less than an ounce. iPod controls are provided on one of the earpieces, so there is no need to return to the iPod to adjust the volume or move through the play list. The iPod can be left sitting on a counter or on a desk, and the headphones will pick up the signal for up to 30 feet away.Logitech also markets a wireless music receiver and transmitter that turns your current stereo into a receiver and set of speakers for your iPod. It comes with its own rechargeable batteries so it doesn't drain your iPod. The receiver unit simply plugs into your stereo system and the transmitter onto your iPod. The system works with any iPod or MP3 player with a standard 3.5mm headphone output. The benefit of this system is that you can use it to make your existing speakers wireless without having to purchase additional equipment. It is easy to plug in and use so you can easily move to other rooms in the house. The only drawback is the 30-feet distance restriction between the receiver and the transmitter.MacallyMacally designed a Bluetooth based BlueWave iPod headset that connects to the iPod through a transmitter plugged into the iPod's headphone port. One issue with the BlueWave system is that the transmitter unit doesn't use the iPod's connector for power but two non-rechargeable AAA batteries. Another issue would be the plastic notch situated by the headphone jack that prevents the transmitter from wobbling on the iPod's top and which you will need to remove if you own an iPod shuffle or a first or second generation iPod.The signal's range should be around 30 feet but it varies greatly depending on the environment you are in, especially if doors or walls stand in the way. The headphones can provide up to eight hours of interrupted music depending on volume level and other factors. They are also powered by two non-rechargeable AAA batteries. With the BlueWave system you can also wirelessly stream music from your iPod by connecting the headphones to the home speaker system with a RCA patch cable that fits in the line-out jack from the headphones.Oregon ScientificOregon Scientific released in 2005 a very interesting wireless speaker system designed for the iPod, the iBall. The speaker is shaped like a bowling ball and it connects to a transmitter dock, that holds the iPod, through 2.4 Ghz wireless technology, with adaptive frequency hopping spread spectrum. The signal range should be up to 100 feet and the rechargeable batteries provide up to 8 hours of music on a single charge. It is compatible with iPods, iPod photos, iPod nanos, and iPod minis. The iBall has a built-in remote for the iPod which you can use even if the iPod is not in the room. The speaker has a round LCD display that you can use to change volume and skip tracks, find out the time, wireless signal strength, battery power, play/pause status.Wi-GearThe iMuffs from Wi-Gear are wireless headphones made especially for the iPod but with a twist. They use Bluetooth technology to connect wirelessly to both your iPod and your Bluetooth enabled phone, so you can use them as a wireless headset for the cell phone. When you receive a call, the iMuffs pause the music on the iPod, ring in the headphones and allow you to speak in the integrated microphone. The iMuffs system has a small receiver that hooks on top of the iPod and comes with a rechargeable battery that provides up to 12 hours of interrupted music. As expected with Bluetooth, the iMuffs headphones can pick up the signal in the 30 feet signal range. They also feature iPod controls on each earpiece for pause, volume, skip and search. In the future, the market of wireless headphones and speakers for the iPod will become a bigger share of the overall iPod accessories market, as the signal range will increase, the audio output quality will get better and the batteries the manufacturers use for power will allow more hours of playtime. Dale Ewans shows you how wireless technology improved audio systems at http://www.Wireless-Speakers.org where you can learn how wireless speakers and headphones work, read product reviews and find out shopping tips and tricks.

Infidelity Recovery: What is it with Men?

Author : Dr. Robert Huizenga, The Infidelity Coach

I've worked intensively with hundreds of couples over the past 25 years and, of course, you will not be surprised to know that more women than men are "open" to marital therapy and talking about relationships in general. Most men reluctantly enter the realm only if they "have to." Their marital world usually needs to be in dire straits before they give their assent. Here are some observations about this phenomenon:1. Men think they are inadequate when it comes to expressing feelings or inner thoughts. And, they assume this is what marital therapy is all about. They perceive the woman as the expert in this realm and they assume that they will be in the "one-down" situation when it comes to working on the relationship. And, of course, no man wants to be one-down.2. Men usually internalize. That is, they work through, or think through, a situation or problem. No one may know what is happening between their ears. Men usually do not have a need to "talk out" a problem or situation. And, of course, working on a relationship is about "talking it out." At least that is what grocery store magazines and talk show hosts say.3. Men are practical problem solvers. They define the problem, look at solutions and implement the solution. And, if that didn't work, try another solution. Wooo-hooo psycho-babble is a foreign world and they don't want anything to do with it.I'm really being a little unfair to men here. Men, dont be too upset. I sometimes make strong statements to make a point. Some women, I find, share these traits as well. Actually it may be that more and more women share some of these characteristics. Its Not Always GenderI conclude that the important issue here is not one of gender, but that of being in a polarized relationship. By that I mean, one person internalizes more and the other person has more of a need to externalize or "talk it through."The externalizer sees great value in self help books, perhaps therapy, and finds materials that will help him/her talk about and work on the relationship. The other partner thinks, "Oh no, do I have to?" And, only if his/her emotional or relational equilibrium is highly threatened will he/she journey into this territory. If he/she does, it is only to the degree that the partner is appeased or he/she can find a quick and graceful way out.A beginning point for a "polarized" couple is to acknowledge the phenomenon. Polarization must be addressed before a couple can effectively repair or reconstruct the relationship.
