7 Steps To A Job-Winning Resume
A new resume can jump-start your career. Your network contacts may ask for a resume and some industries absolutely, positively demand a resume as the price of admission. When you begin thinking of your resume as a power source, the results can be astonishing.1. Your resume is a sales tool. It is not a place for therapeutic self-disclosure or true confessions. Be honest but present your accomplishments in the most positive way.2. Leave tricky questions ("Why did you have six jobs in ten years?" "Why are you applying for an entry position after you've been running the show?") for the interview. Practice interview responses with a support group, friend or career coach.3. If chronology works against you, opt for a sales pitch letter or use your network to get past the screeners. If you can't avoid a resume, some experts will advise a functional resume. However, once you show up for an interview, expect to be asked for a chronological review.4. Focus on accomplishments. "Supervised ten people on a project that finished three weeks before deadline and saved megabucks."If you're over fifteen, you do not have "duties." You have "responsibilities" and "accomplishments." Anyway, nobody cares about what you were supposed to do. They want to know what you contributed.5. Exploring multiple jobs? Tailor your resume to each position and each field. Show that you understand your target firm's problems -- and are uniquely equipped to solve them.6. Do not let anyone write your resume for you. Accept suggestions and feedback but the final product should be in your own words.7. Use your network to review the final product. Ask at least six people in your field for candid feedback. The final test: How do you feel when you read the resume? When you feel proud of your resume, and you're eager to share it with everyone you meet, you're ready to move.About The AuthorCathy Goodwin, Ph.D., is an author, speaker and career/business consultant,

Material for Home Improvement
What are you doing to improve your home depends on what
materials you will need to finish the task. With any home
improvement task, you will need tools and materials. Some
material and tools can be purchased at a cheaper cost, while
others must be expensive, since endurance factors into the
equation.
One of the definite tools you will need is a building permit,
since if you fail to obtain the tool you will are subject to
fines and cost. Check with your city ordinance before starting
any home improvement task.
If you are working on sub-flooring, you will need adhesive, deck
screws, leveler, plywood, lumber, nails and a bucket. On the
other hand if you are working on hardwood floor you will need
sandpaper, cloth, paste wax, wood restorer, oxalic acid,
cleaning tools, rubber gloves, vinegar, wood patches, and for
the tools you will need nails, putty knife, buffing machine,
hammer, and a vacuum will suffice.
Material precision is important when improving your home. If you
do not have the right materials, the job is better off left
alone. If you are working on paneling the walls you will need
various tools and materials, including putty knife, nail set,
caulk gun, flat pry bar, framing square, rubber mallet, hammer,
carpentry knife, chisel and wallboard knife for restoring the
panel. You will also need replacement paneling, wood fillers,
putty stick, finishing nails, panel adhesive, spray paint,
nails, finishing nails, and shims to complete your mission.
If the job is outside, such as building a pond you will need
garden hose, hammer, spade or trowel, pond liner, leveler, sand,
flagstone copingstones, and mortar mix. If you are considering a
garden landscape pond, thus this is the most you will need to
finish the job, besides the seeds if you intend to plant real
vegetables, flowers, et cetera.
Improving or repairing showers require materials, which is
obtainable in kits. The kit will include shower flooring, shower
walls, curtains, and/or doors. It will also include showerheads
and faucet.
You will need your own tools, since the kit may not have the
tools included. The tools needed are and 3/8 or ½ inch PVC Pipe,
Purple Primer, CPVC Cement, Philips Screwdriver, tubing cutter,
liquid nails, and Silicon Sealant. You may need a pipe wrench
also.
Drywall materials include following a few simple steps for
improving home. You will need a Putty Trial, Tray, sandpaper,
and joint putty, scraper.
Tile repairs or replacements are less problematic and only
requires a few materials and tools. For the most part your will
need adhesive, scraper, caulk, and so forth to repair tile.
Brick patios you will need to find a level area in the region of
the backyard, and the region should have a 5cm or 3m slope area.
You will need a few basic tools to start the building process,
but for the most part, you will not need any expensive equipment
or tools. You will need a square-nose shovel, using it to dig a
hole in the area for building, digging about 18cm into the soil.
The process starts with building the walls first.
You will need wood stakes, sand, plastic edging, steel spikes,
and pipe steel. You will also need a wheelbarrow, handsaw,
mallet, string, and a few other tools to finish the job.
If you plan to woodwork, the floors are geared up to buy
specific tools for the task. You will need ear protectors. You
will need goggles to protect the eyes and face area. You will
need a flour sander, which you can rent and a belt sander, which
can also be rented. In addition, you will need a mask to protect
your face, sanding block and sandpaper, paintbrush about three
inches, cross peen hammer, and time to finish the work.
Furthermore, you will need a plane, abrasive paper, shave hook,
and nails to improve your home with hardwood. Finally, when
considering home improvement tasks stay focused on what you need
and which tools and materials go with the project to avoid
confusion, especially if you are multi-tasking.

Know Your Credit Score Before Applying for an Auto Loan
It is important to know what your credit score is before you apply for an auto loan.Finding out your current score ahead of time will help you determine what lenders may open a new line of credit for you and what rates you may qualify for.To obtain your official credit score you will want to obtain a copy of your credit report from each of the three national credit bureaus - Equifax, Experian and Trans Union. Although Equifax is the most widely accessed credit bureau, lenders may get their reports from one of the other two bureaus. An error on any one of these reports could lower your score and result in you being denied credit.Listed below is the contact information for each of the national credit bureaus:EquifaxEquifax Credit Information Services, Inc.

www.tuc.comTo protect your privacy and verify your identity, each bureau requires that you provide your full name, proof of current address, addresses and Zip codes for places you have lived in the past 5 years, date of birth and social security number. If you are ever denied credit for any reason, you can get a free copy of your credit report from the national credit bureaus. Otherwise, the cost to obtain a copy of your credit report is usually around $9 but may be cheaper in some states. You will need to request your credit score separately. Experian charges an additional fee for a credit score request, with a combined $14.95 charge for both.Once you obtain your credit score you will know how easily you can get an auto loan with good rates and terms. The closer your credit score is to 750-850, the better off you'll be. If you credit score is in the 600 range or below you will want to find out from lenders what the range of credit scores they will accept before applying for any loans.Finding out what range of credit scores lenders will accept may also help prevent your credit score from being reduced further. Every time a lender checks your credit score, the credit bureaus make a record of the inquiry. Too many inquiries can be seen as a sign of financial instability and your credit score could be lowered as a result. The time you take to find out your credit score on your own, will save you time and hassle later on as you begin searching for an auto loan that is right for you.© cashbuzz.comJohn Campbell is the writer and editor of CashBuzz, A financial portal for the rest of us. Ill effects of automated submissions
Actually automated submissions are a complete no no if you want
your website to have a good positioning in search engines.
Automated submissions create more harm than advantages. Major
Search engines and directories like Google and domz does not
allow automated submissions at any cost. And all other search
engines also prefer manual submissions. The automated
submissions software can only fill out the submission form
automatically but this is not enough for search engine and
directory submissions. The most important step involved in
submissions is to select the most relevant category. This can
not be done by automated softwares. Automated submissions can
also lead to server overload and vulnerability to denial of
service attacks hence manual submission is considered better
much better than automated submissions even though it is time
consuming. The time spent in manual submissions is worth it
because your website is sure to start receiving good quality
visitors once it is indexed by the search engines and
directories.

Nine Guidelines to Selecting the Right Internet Business
There is a wide variety of internet businesses for you to choose from. You should select a business that is easy to handle and fulfils your monetary requirements. The strategy for choosing an internet business involves the following:1. Research your options â" Before deciding on any particular internet business it is important to evaluate the various options. Research the successful and non-successful internet businesses and analyse the reasons for their success and failure. While researching, you will come across more failures than successes as verified by the dot com collapse. Therefore, it is important to understand that an internet business is not a,â magicalâ ticket to success. You have to work hard as anywhere else to turn your internet business into a success.2. Think of it as 'part-time' work â" Considering the risky nature of this business, it is not at all advisable for you to leave your full time job or other business for starting an internet related business. In fact, initially you can treat it as only a part-time vocation. After some time, when you start earning a profit then you can leave your regular job and take up the internet business full time.3. Decide your work pattern â" Choose your internet business based on the time and other resources that you are ready to invest in it. Evaluate the amount of time that you can take out from your current job for your new internet venture. Also, assess your financial position and decide how much you are ready to invest. You may also feel the need to hire people for the job or involve some of your family and friends in it. Evaluate all these factors, check out, whether the internet business that you have selected suits your work pattern, and only then select it. Whatever business you select should be within your reach, something that you can handle with ease.4. Evaluate your expectations â" Careful thought should also go into analysing what your expectations are from the new business that you are setting up. You should have a clear goal in view. You should know what your expectations will be from your business after a year of starting it. This will help you in taking the decision in selecting the right business and putting the right amount of effort that would fulfil your expectations.5. Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses - Before starting any endeavour look into your strengths and weaknesses. You never know, you may actually come up with a good business idea from your own hobby. For example, suppose you have a good coin collection. Then maybe you can turn it into a profitable business of buying and selling coins on the internet. Your knowledge of coins would help you a great deal in this business.6. Seek help â" If you feel the need, you can seek help from others who have taken the same path. However, be careful you will find many who are ready to give you advice without any knowledge. Therefore, take advice only from those who have personal experience and a sound basis to impart advice. You can take the help of professionals if you like. It would be best not to listen to those who have no background knowledge or those who have encountered failure.7. Analyse the best internet businesses â" Before you decide on any business, you should have full knowledge of all the business options in the field. Look for the most successful internet businesses. When you do this, you will realise that a particular type of businesses are more successful than the rest, for example service oriented or information based businesses. Some of these successful businesses are:· Membership websites â" which provide access to the website, its products, information and services in lieu of a membership, entry or subscription fee· Software websites â" sites that provide their own independent softwareâ™s for a charge and make profit from these sales· Training and support websites â" these are those websites, which give you help, support and training on various topics and subjects· Shopping websites â" these are websites such as, eBay sales which earn by providing a market place for buying and selling items on the internet. You would do well to undertake businesses in which you have direct control over the manufacture of the product yourself, for example 'in demand' customized software. This would allow you to succeed, as you will not have much competition and dependence on others.8. Analyse the worst internet businesses â" After the best its time to analyse the worst internet businesses and look into reasons for their failure. This way you can avoid those businesses, which have not made it in the internet world. Some of these unsuccessful businesses are:· Any site involved in selling popular and common products for a minimalist margin such as selling dog food, groceries, furniture etc.· Avoid competing with a large corporation such as Tesco or Dell. This is because whatever you do they can do better with their ample resources.· Any business in which you are moving from wholesale to retail. Here the chances of earning a profit are slim.9. Go with your intuition â" Listen to what your heart and mind tells you to do. There are chances that you will come across some businesses that you like over others. Your choice should be of a business, which you know you will enjoy. Your business should not be a chore but something that you are happy doing. Be sure of your decision because once you start a business you canâ™t just go back on your decision. If you keep all these points in mind while selecting your internet business then you can be sure that you will make the right choice and be successful. This article was written by Craig Dawber of smarket-associates.com

Is online banking safe?
Online banking has come of age. The security systems are very high and the transactions are done through secured socket layer. The bank security is rarely breached. The main problem with online banking is the computer at home, office or cyber caf? where the transaction is done online, which creates the problem. Computers can be easily hacked and the passwords can be stolen by professional hackers. Computers with windows software are vulnerable. If a hacker breaches your computer?s security he can easily login to your internet banking account and misuse it. The bank won?t be able to find whether you are using the computer or somebody else. It is necessary that your computer is safe and has firewall and antiviral software installed in it. In most offices the security is very high and you won?t be able to download any software, songs etc. If you can?t download software etc to your computer then it is regarded as a safe place to transact online. Also, changing your password regularly is recommended. It is advised not to login to your online account from cyber caf??s quite often as hackers can easily capture your user id and password. If you access your online banking account from cyber caf??s then it is advised to change your password as soon as you can. Never open an email, whose source you do not know. These emails could have virus, spyware or website links. Nowadays, there are many websites designed to look like banking websites. When you use your user id and password, it will capture it. These kinds of websites have started flourishing. This is called as phishing. So never open an unsolicited email. God Created Man, 5000 years ago?
Well it is written that God created man 5000 years ago, there can be no doubt about it. The Holy scripture guarantees that is in fact how it exactly happened? Oh really? So how do you explain the fossil record, life on mars and dinosaur bones? Oh, you cannot explain that? I see, but you still wish to debate the works in the various religions and completely factual and to be followed literally then? Hmm? Okay, then I have a book that, I personally recommend that you do not read:"The Seven Daughters of Eve" By Bryan Sykes. This is my book review. The book discusses our genetic ancestry chain and may help other understand the problems which occur in coming to acceptable conclusions in theories which are often wrong but help archeologists and scientists get funding, keep their peer groups happy and find a decent publisher. After reading the evidence of this book as it is written, it appears that Sykes maybe more in touch with the actual happenings of the past than most previously renowned archeologists. This may explain why people have the behavior characteristics we do. And why we seem to keep making the same mistakes over and over again. I recommend this book to the realists of the world as it makes a lot of sense indeed. This book is not allowed in many libraries at schools in the bible belts and places like Kansas, because it is considered pure blasphemy and speculation. Even though it contains facts of fossil records and proof is no matter. Humans are kind of funny, as they will believe just about anything, won't they? Think about it.Lance Winslow

How Do You Create Customer Loyalty?
Another sad fact of life is that these days, very few customers are loyal. Most of their loyalties lie with their bank accounts, and you can't blame people for watching their shrinking dollars. If you have regular clients, offer them an extra incentive now and again. Thank them for visiting and remember their names. Give them an additional discount for regular business or a promotional item to remember you & your business.Be good to them and they will bring you new business. Treat them as you would a good fiend, especially if you meet on the street and discuss your business. Remember their birthdays. You can do this by starting a bithday club. Make special acknowledgments to your customers if you meet them at dinner parties or during a business functions. When a customer has sent a referral your way, take the time to send a thank you card. These mean more to a person then you think. The fact that you took time out from your busy day to send a thank you will not be forgotten.Think of more ways in which you can entice your customers to come back regularly and create customer loyalty.Listen to your customers and send feedback as soon as possible. A satisfied customer makes for good business. Without them, you have no business. Also, treat their email addresses like GOLD. Never, ever share their personal information with anyone. They took the time to give you their email address don't take that for granted.Sonia Colon is owner of a successful

Everybody Sells the Same Thing I Do - or Do They?
Years ago, I took over as a manager of a restaurant in a major city. As expected, we had a good sized lunch rush every day, but the place never seemed to be filled. The previous manager, although well-intentioned, had been gruff with customers and staff alike. Most of the staff were teenagers, and sometimes I didn't blame him. Look, I was a teenager myself, and can remember not always being the best employee. Not because I was bad, but just because I was a teenager. You remember? Right?Anyway, I worked with the departing manager fo about a month and then I was in charge. One of the first things I did, even before the old manager left, was to make sure I called everyone, including my 16-year-old employees, "sir" and "ma'am. I also made certain they got plenty of praise for a job well done, and gentle but firm guidance (always in private) when they erred. It wasn't long before, "YO! Dude! Bring me some ketchup!" was replaced by "Excuse me, sir (or ma'am)! Could you please bring me some ketchup?"Over the next few weeks, the lunch crowd slowly began to grow, as did the dinner crowd, and I wasn't absolutely certain why. I DID know that my young ladies and gentlemen were making the customers feel more comfortable in our establishment, and the employees themselves were taking on more responsibility for taking care of the customers and getting the job done and seemed to be enjoying themselves in the process.Of course, we had our regulars, and one day I noticed a pair of gentlemen I had never seen before. What struck me was that they were watching the employees and myself with eagle eyes. As I moved around the room, chatting briefly with diners and making sure they were taken care of, one of the men called me to his table. This is what he told me...He and his friend worked in a nearby office building and had once been regular lunch customers, but had quit coming in several months before I came to work there. The reason they had stopped dining at our establishment was simply that they did not like the way the previous manager had treated the employees, and they had also felt the trickle-down affect in the negative way the employees interacted with customers and other employees.Recently, people in their building had begun talking about how pleasant it had become to eat in our restaurant since the "new manager" had taken over. They had decided to check it out for themselves. Even though they enjoyed the food and the restaurant was nearby, they had been choosing to go elsewhere because of their discomfort in the previous atmosphere. They told me that they were extremely pleased with their experience and really liked the way I treated the employees and the employees treated each other and the customers. They definitely would be returning regularly.THE MENU AND FOOD PREPARATION HAD NOT CHANGED.THE FACILITIES WERE THE SAME.THE EMPLOYEES WERE THE SAME.BUT...THE ATTITUDE AND ATMOSPHERE HAD CHANGED.With the right attitude and with lots of respect for peers and customers alike, your business can grow even if you sell the same product or service as thousands of other internet or brick-and-mortar businesses. So! Why not sell service? There's sometimes quite a lack of competition there.Postscript: Between the time I drafted this article and typed it up, I received an email from a webmaster who complained that while I had a nice website, it was just like several others he had seen, and he doubted I would have any success with it.Oh well, he's welcome to his opinion, I suppose. I just didn't have the heart to tell him that last month I deposited over $10,000.00 in commissions from a website that everybody else was using. The author is retired from the Army after 21 years of service, has worked as an accountant, optical lab manager, restaurant manager, and instructor. Temperaments in the Classroom
I want to preface these techniques with the following disclaimer. Categorizing the temperament of a subject without a full diagnostic and case history is not without its risks. Some of the temperaments can be mistaken for each other upon cursory examination. Also, there is blending in some of the areas of need; that is to say, a person may demonstrate one temperament in one area of need and another temperament in another area of need. That being said, I believe this model to be one of the most effective tools we have in garnering an understanding into the "why" a person behaves a certain way.Throughout history we have striven to determine why people do certain things. Why certain people are successful and others are not. Maslow has offered theories on the hierarchy of needs. B.F. Skinner has presented operant conditioning. Dr. John Gray tells us "Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus." All of these do a fair job of describing how a person behaves and communicates but don't really tell us why.Temperaments explore the why. Your temperament is your underlying self/nature which is much deeper than your personality. Your personality changes at need depending upon your environment. Your temperament remains constant throughout your life.Basic temperament types and their characteristics are as follows. The Melancholy
This person demonstrates a low need or desire for socialization. Some common instructional techniques such as the "mix, pair, and share" and the "jigsaw" are physically painful for these people and they may act out to avoid them.
This person has very little desire to be in charge of others and will not be happy in the role of leader.
This person is uncomfortable demonstrating or receiving overt affection. They may have developed a dry, biting sense of humor they use to keep others at a comfortable distance. The Choleric
This person likes to be the one to initiate social interaction. They will be resistant when others initiate or require interaction. They may be viewed as "stuck up" or having a "better than you" attitude.
This person has a great need to control others and no tolerance for being controlled.
This person will express a great deal of affection but will accept affection only on their terms. They may put their arm around and hug you but will not tolerate you initiating the same contact. The Sanguine
This person has a great need to initiate and be included in interactions. Requiring this person to work alone for extended periods of time is inviting disaster.
This person desires very little control over others and will tolerate very little control over their own actions. Heavy handed authority exhibited with them will create issues.
This person demonstrates and needs lots of affection.
The Supine
This person rarely initiates social interaction but has a great need to be included by others. Sometimes this person is seen as the "wall flower."
This person has no desire to have control over or responsibility for others. The much prefer for others to be in control. Requiring this person to shoulder a large amount of responsibility will be problematic. They are perfectly happy being told what to do.
This person overtly expresses very little affection, but has a great need to be the recipient of affection. The Phlegmatic
This person initiates a moderate amount of associations and desires the same form others.
This person desires a moderate amount of control over other desires a reciprocal amount of control influenced over them by others.
This person expresses and desires the expression of a moderate amount of affection. Now that you have an initial understanding of these temperaments you can reflect on the behaviors exhibited by your students. Give particular attention to those displaying behavior concerns. Out of the top 10% of students experiencing behavioral difficulties can you identify the projected temperaments of those students?Think about the students with behavior challenges, and try the following:Independently try to identify that student's displayed temperament type.Come together with your team and compare your results. Did you identify the same students? Did you classify their temperament in the same category?Come to a group consensus on the student's temperament identification.Armed with these understandings there are strategies and interventions which are effective with certain temperament types.Next we will explore the strategies that are most compatible for working with each temperament type.Reg Adkins in a specialist in behaviors and emotional issues. He holds a bachelors degree in elementary education and a masters in educational administration. He is certified in numerous educational fields including exceptional student education. Success Tip #8 - Effective Communication Leads to Business Success
If you want to have a fighting chance in the business world, you'd better be an effective communicator. Here are three steps that will help you operate as a truly effective communicator.Step #1. Know your outcome. An effective communicator knows her outcome and states it in the positive.Step #2. Know where you are in the process. Know if you're moving away from or closer to your outcome. Your questioning and listening skills play an important role in this step for communications awareness.Step #3. Know your options. Be flexible. If what you're saying or doing isn't producing the results you'd planned, you'd better say or do something else. There you have it, the Effective Communicator Model.Let's expand on each of the steps.Step #1. Know your outcome. If you don't know where you're going, that's where you'll end up.Are you clear on the outcome of your communication? What do you want to accomplish? When you go into a negotiation, a sales call or a client meeting, are you clear on your outcome?Make sure you state your outcome in the positive. We live in a culture that thrives on negative outcomes. We know what we don't want and frame our outcomes accordingly. What outcome do you want from your negotiation? Do you want to avoid overpaying for the project? The desire to avoid overpaying for the project is an example of an outcome stated in the negative. Here's how this outcome might sound when stated in the positive. "I will negotiate the best possible price for the project and I will stay within budget."Work on creating outcomes that are clear, specific and positive.Step #2. Know where you are in the process.Become aware of as much information as you can. This is where measurement and testing can provide you with valuable clues. You must have some measuring strategy in place. How else will you determine if your communication or action is producing the desired outcome? Here's an idea for a simple measuring strategy. Create your own checklist (kind of like a shopping-list for success) before you begin your communication or take an action.Step #3. Know your options.Be Flexible. If what you're doing isn't producing your desired outcome, you need to do something else.Requisite Variety is a term born out of Neuro Linguistics Programming, NLP for short. The theory of Requisite Variety states that the communicator that has access to the greatest number of communications options will usually control the communication.Science uses the same assumption when it comes to experimentation. Scientists know what they want an experiment to produce. They measure their results and know whether or not it worked. If the experiment works, great, if not, they utilize different options as the basis for their next attempt at success. Come to think of it, that approach would be really helpful in your business networking, client meetings, sales calls, marketing, or in any number of your business activities.Success Tip - Know your outcome. All three steps of the Effective Communicator Model are important, but if you're really clear on your outcomes and you state them in the positive, you'll find yourself reaching those outcomes more easily and more often.Copyright 2006 Ike KriegerAbout The Author

NHTSA: Auto Safety Starts At Home
How a person acts in the society is basically the attitude that he has been taught at home. This has been one of the major theories and beliefs that people have. This is mainly because it has been said that the home is the breeding ground for attitudes and beliefs. If your child grows up to be an extrovert, then it is because being an extrovert is a characteristic that has been taught to the child at home. Whatever a child sees in an adult especially sees in his parents, he copies and imitates it for that is what he thinks is right. The same goes true for auto safety. And this is according to the new National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) chief, Nicole Nason. Nason is a mother to two young girls. And she firmly asserts that if you want your child to know auto safety, it is important that he or she sees it in you as the parent. She even states, "This is a family issue and vehicle safety needs to be the priority."Nason is up to promoting such a campaign towards widening information on auto safety. This new NHTSA chief has been serving the organization for years as an aide to Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta. Now, she is still serving the NHTSA as its administrator which she started back last May.Auto safety is indeed a very important aspect that parents should not forget to teach their children. After all, the statistics simply are bothering. Annually in the United States, there are around 43,000 people killed in crashes, accidents, and collisions, and along with that some 2.7 million people also receive injuries. Nason also believes that if auto safety is practiced by parents, children are much more likely to learn the trait. How to Save Money When Buying Inkjet Cartridges
Purchasing ink cartridges for professional and consumer printers can be a costly endeavor. With many desktop printers costing less than the ink cartridges needed to run them, the search for affordable ink has never been more necessary than now. Unfortunately, many individuals and purchasing managers alike are unfamiliar with ways they can reduce their ink expenditures while getting the products they require. First and foremost, ink will almost always be less expensive when purchased from an online source. As one might imagine, the cost of maintaining a storefront is transferred over to the consumer in every product sold. Online retailers don't have storefront related expenses, and because they sell in the largest marketplace on earth, competition keeps prices at their lowest. Many erroneously associate online retailers with the inconvenience of waiting for orders to arrive as well as a limited selection. In truth, online retailers rarely suffer from the stock shortages that customers have become accustomed to with local retailers and most offer overnight or "next day" when requested. Additionally, online retailers' inkjet cartridge prices are well below those of printer and copier suppliers. Unless ink supply is included with a rental contract, companies can save substantially by purchasing their own. Another way to save on ink is to purchase remanufactured or aftermarket inkjet cartridges. Remanufactured cartridges are previously used products that are recycled through ink replacement. They are tested for quality and provide the same lifespan as a new cartridge at a significant savings. Remanufactured cartridges are also better for the environment than new cartridges. Aftermarket ink cartridges are often much cheaper than original manufacturer products and are made to the same specifications, insuring consumers of the same compatibility and functionality found in their "name brand" counterparts. While most manufacturers will indicate that only certified replacement products are suitable for use in their printers, rarely is that actually the case. Of course, consumers should check to see if using compatible aftermarket cartridges will violate their warranty before purchasing. By finding the right retailer and using remanufactured or aftermarket ink cartridges, consumers can save hundreds or even thousands over the life of their printers. Choose from a wide selection of Ink Cartridges

Shorten The Sales Cycle By Finding The Decision Maker As Well As The Prospect's Budget
All sales meetings fall into two categories, a one-call close or a more than one call close.Closings can be in steps. You can close to agree to go to the next step or you can sell the first time.Either way there are certain key elements that go into closing.Knowing a client or prospect's budget and who the person is who ultimately decides whether or not it gets spent on your product or service is essential to getting a sale.Whenever possible one of the best ways to speed up a final closing is to ask your prospect what their budget is for your product or service. It does you absolutely no good to go through all the other steps in your sales process simply to find out that their budget is only twenty-five percent of your product or service sells for. When the disparity is that great it may be best to say goodbye and move on. If, however their distress/need level is so high that the gap can be closed then you know that you have a real prospect. In a non-complex sale it is best to find out your prospect's budget before the meeting so that you know whether or not to continue. If the party doesn't know their budget initially tell them that that will be one of the questions on your meeting agenda and that if they could have a figure or a range before the meeting, you would appreciate it.The next point to make sure of is that you discuss who will be making the final decision. If it's the party who will be attending the meeting then you're ok. If not you want to find out who it is. Then it would be best to request that person to also attend the meeting.Making sure that the decision-maker is present as soon as possible will shorten your selling cycle or save you time by ending the cycle. In the case of a complex sale your best tactic is to have an agreement that, after the initial meeting, if you move forward, the decision-maker will be at the next meeting. In the case of multi-level sales (i.e. residential and some commercial real estate), the initial close may be getting the mortgage or credit application. The sooner you have the decision-maker there the closer you are to moving the process along. In all meetings you want to remember to ask the pertinent questions and then LISTEN for the information. As you bring prospects and clients into their distress zone they will be revealing the emotions that you need to address. The distress zone is also the place (and time) that their budget becomes bigger and desires become greater.Remember, when you do sell, whether it is after the first meeting or the tenth meeting, you must make an agreement to service this client so that they become a "salesperson" for you.Sell to close the deal and sell to close another seller!Dan Goldberg, MBA, is President of Dan Goldberg Consulting L.L.C. a training, coaching and business development firm located in the Philadelphia, PA area. No One Wants to Read Your Resume
It is a sad truth. No one wants to read your resume. Hiring managers would absolutely love it if they didn't have to read another resume for the remainder of their careers. Why? Reading resumes is boring. Well, that statement needs to be qualified a bit. Most resumes are boring to read. Some resumes are amusing with their erroneous mistakes and unusually worded assertions.Even though no one wants to read your resume – or anyone else's – resumes do get read each and every day because that is the way people most often get jobs. Employers match their needs with the qualifications of a variety of job applicants via a resume. It is a tedious process and it is ultimately flawed.Even with the use of computer scanners and keyword recognition software, subjectivity eventually plays into the equation and one resume is discarded while another one is kept. We are human and by nature we make decisions based on our experience and knowledge. Sometimes those decisions result in bringing in awesome human talent to a company's human resource base. Other times, the decision is based on flawed information, bias or lack of understanding about the position or the individual. In addition, consider a perfectly qualified candidate who does not have the appropriate keywords or enough of the right keywords in his or her resume. That resume never makes it past the scanning process even though the individual could very well be the best person for the job.The goal of computer software is to take the human aspect of scanning resumes and make it easier and less subjective. Unfortunately, it, too, is flawed as it cannot ensure the best candidates are actually chosen to be looked at more carefully. It merely selects individuals based on a set parameter of options – entered by humans – and searched for on resumes. It still boils down to: No one wants to read your resume. Reading resumes is time consuming. It is tedious. While the resume software assists in selecting resumes to be read in depth, it still does not work as well as human eyes, human knowledge and human intuition. It still allows for resumes to squeak through simply because they are loaded with the right keywords, while other resumes which are not laden with such jargon or keyword-rich content are discarded regardless of the actual qualifications of the candidate. The best any of us can do is to create outstanding resumes. Does that go completely against the title of this article? It sure seems to. No one wants to read your resume. In truth, though, it is BECAUSE no one wants to read your resume that you MUST make it as professional and perfectly crafted as possible. How? Read everything you can on the subject of resume-writing. The links at the bottom of this article take you to a web site that is loaded with outstanding information about writing a professional resume and there is no charge for any of that information. Read as much as you can so that you have the best possible understanding of the kind of resume format suits your situation best, the errors to avoid and the various ways to add impact to your words.Even though no one wants to read your resume, it will get read. It will get scanned. You have to make sure it works for you and not against you.Carla Vaughan, Owner/Webmaster Professional-Resume-Example.comCarla is the owner of Professional-Resume-Example.com, a web site devoted to assisting candidates in the job-search process. Leadership Development and Jumping Out of Airships
A German silent film melodrama depicts an airship bombing London during World War I. Lit up by searchlights and strafed by fighters, the crippled airship loses altitude as the captain frantically jettisons dispensable gear to lighten weight. Eventually, the only weight left is human. So the captain orders members of the crew overboard. A grisly scene unfolds as the airmen, one by one, without parachutes, step up to the hatch, salute the captain and the first mate, then jump to their deaths. Lightened, the airship returns safely to Germany. That scene is not a relic. It's happening in corporations frequently these days, clearly not as fact but metaphor. Companies, shot up in the cross fires of increasingly competitive markets, must lighten their loads to get earnings' growth buoyancy. The captains are jettisoning all but the indispensable employees. Commonly, one of the first functions to be ordered out is the training function -- in particular, leadership training or leadership development. Many company heads view such training as dispensable as the airship crew in the melodrama.Yet leadership isn't dispensable to business success. It's absolutely indispensable. Good leaders are far more important to the long term success of companies than good products. All organizations that fail to get, keep, and develop good leaders eventually founder. This isn't a secret. Most leaders know this. Here's the secret: The fact that leadership development is viewed as dispensable is not the captain's making. It's the crew's making. The blame lies with the people in charge of the leadership development. They simply have not defined leadership development in indispensable ways for results. Sure, they have defined such development for training results but not for the results that really count, business results. And when training people focus on training results not business results, they are always put at the front when the superfluous are told to line up to leap. What is leadership but results -- not training results, business results. If leaders are not getting their business results, they are not leading. Results can be defined in many ways, productivity, operating efficiencies, sales growth, cost reductions, etc., but leadership development has no real value unless it is helping the leaders get those results. Here are two simple ways to position your role to notably increase your value to your company.1. Define results.Forget about training results. Forget about training objectives. They're dispensable gear. Throw them overboard. What are the business results of the leaders you are developing? If you are dealing with people in manufacturing, then focus on having your development programs help improve operating efficiencies. If you have sales people in those programs, focus on their getting increased sales results within a certain time after they complete your program. Whoever has signed up for your programs, challenge them to use the tools you give them to get results short and long term. For instance, at the beginning of your programs, ask participants, "What results do you have to get? And what are the most important challenges you have in getting them?"Then bring them the tools to help them get those results. What they learn is worthless unless it is tied to what is most valuable in their jobs and careers. It's worse than worthless, it's a downright stumbling block since that learning demands that they spend their time away from pursuing their real job objectives.2. Measure those results. There is no value in business without measurements. Trainers who ignore this truth are put in the line before the open hatch when the company starts going down. Those trainers typically show their value by demonstrating the cost-effectiveness of their programs.Cost-effective, baloney! I don't know of any organization where "cost-effective" ultimately doesn't mean "cheap." Cost-effectiveness is the worst way to position leadership development programs. Cost-effective programs are the least valuable programs of all. Once we start defining our programs by how cheap they are, we show that we don't understand leadership or development -- and so cheapen our value to the company.Don't make leadership programs inexpensive. Make them expensive! -- expensive to the company if those programs are not instituted. We can only show their true importance by demonstrating the hard, measured, business-focused results participants achieve after taking the programs. At the end of your sessions, have participants write a "value received" letter in which they detail the hard measured results that they intend to get when they use your leadership tools.Follow up 35-days later to insure they have gotten those results or are about to get them.If participants in a leadership course don't receive an R.O. I. that is at least five to ten times greater than the investment they made in that course, give them their money back. And why not? If they can't get big increases in their hard, measured results, it's the course's fault. It hasn't helped them develop as leaders. Without results, leadership has no meaning.Leadership development is too important to be demeaned by having it fulfill training objectives. Enhance its importance by having it fulfill business objectives. In doing so, we will change the scenario on our metaphorical airship. Instead of ordering the crew out, the captain will say, "We can't afford to lose this crew member. Stay here! First mate, jump!"2004 © The Filson Leadership Group, Inc. About Individual Health Insurance
About Individual Health Insurance
Indi
vidual health care insurance provides coverage for only one
individual, or family. In general, individual plans are more
expensive than group insurance. You can obtain individual plans
directly from a company who offers them. The company with whom
you apply will evaluate you from a health standpoint, in terms
of how much risk you present to them. Usually, they'll provide a
questionnaire for you to fill out, asking various questions
about your current and past health history. They will determine
your risk accordingly, from which a premium will be generated.
Things to look for: Most individual plans fall under managed
health care plans. Under this, you can opt for an HMO, PPO, or
POS plan.
Guaranteed renewable: Your insurer cannot cancel your coverage
if you become sick. If you continue to pay your insurance
premium, coverage continues.
If available, group insurance is generally a better option,
since it is usually more comprehensive and less expensive than
individual insurance. However, individual coverage is ultimately
better than being uninsured in the event of illness or injury.
Although you may think you can do without health insurance, you
are taking a major risk if you choose not to get coverage. An
unexpected illness or serious injury can put you and your family
under financial stress.
In a group insurance situation, the provisions of the policy are
negotiated between the insurer and master policy owner (usually
an employer or association). With indi
vidual insurance, you are directly in control of your
policy. You can negotiate to have certain provisions included or
excluded, and you can often choose your deductible amount and
co-payment percentage. Keep in mind, however, that these things
will have an effect on your premiums.

Should you renew with your current host? - Your website in the year 2005
Sometime during this year the chances are you're going to have to renew your hosting package. Can you be sure youre still getting the best deal for your site?Hosting companies, as businesses, spring up all the time. This is because they are so easy to set up. Nowadays you can become a reseller for free.Starting a proper hosting company with your own server - simply put - involves buying a computer, an internet connection and some potentially expensive software. Due to this relatively easy set up many companies go bust when they dont make ends meet.So look around for potential companies. One of the best ways of doing this is by searching for hosting reviews. Hopefully what you find are reviews from the companys clients, as their opinions could be more important to you than the companys own advertising.Your site requirements will probably have increased since you first bought hosting, so take this into account when browsing. If you own more than one website you may want to look into packages that allow you to share the quoted resources between multiple domains and websites.Pricing is obviously very important - many hosts offer discounted monthly rates when you sign into a contract, forcing you to remain with them for a certain number of months or even years. This does offer good value but it raises the question - will the company still exist in a few years? It is also important to find out if the monthly price/rates will change if they raise or lower their prices. You dont want to lock yourself into anything thinking you're paying a fixed price. Read the companys information page to see how long they have been trading as this will give you a rough idea of whether or not they are reliable.Moving your website to a new provider can be a daunting task. Just moving files can be awkward, especially if your website is powered by a database. An excellent way of moving your whole site including databases, email accounts and other settings is by creating a backup from inside your control panel. Ask your new host if they will unpack the backup file onto your new website. This may only fully work if your previous host and new host use the same control panel software. But you can always ask beforehand.

Knowing When I'm Not: 4 Suggestions for Developing a Strong Center
The more I practice centering, the more I realize that as important as it is to be able to identify and access the centered state, it is equally important to be able to know when I'm NOT centered. Otherwise, how do I choose? When I'm centered I'm in control of my behavior. Centered action is on purpose and by choice. Uncentered action is reactive and out of control, and I end up looking back with regret.I've spent a lot of time figuring out my personal symptoms of uncenteredness. Physically, my legs tense and knees lock; my jaw locks, my throat closes, and I stop breathing.Mental and emotional symptoms vary, but I can become self-righteous, depressed, and very self-critical. Without warning, these reactive responses combine into a mind/body state that is powerful enough to overcome all my good intentions and noble purposes. When something happens that triggers these physical and emotional states, I increasingly notice them at earlier stages. I can then ask myself if I want to go where they will carry me. Sometimes it's a difficult choice. These reactions are "practiced" and seductive. To choose to be centered means to integrate that energy in some new and more useful way in which I'm not as practiced. This kind of awareness is learned and developed. And, speaking from experience, it can be done. Here's my path, and I urge you to add to it:• INTENTION. Have a clear intention to develop control over your reactive state.• DISCOVERY. Begin to notice your symptoms. The next time you start to "lose it," become active in that process and make a different choice.• JUST DO IT. (Thank you, Nike.) Breathe, relax, or play a mental tape that helps you get centered. Visualize your "happy place," as one of my clients puts it.• DISCIPLINE. Don't settle for letting yourself be hijacked by your reactions. When you do "lose it" - use it. Go back in your mind's eye, and ask how the situation might have played out had you been centered. It's a great way to reinforce what you want to do next time. You have more power than you think. Know what you want for your life and go get it.© 2005 Judy Ringer, Power & Presence TrainingAbout the Author: Judy Ringer is the author of Unlikely Teachers: Finding the Hidden Gifts in Daily Conflict, containing stories and practices on turning life's challenges into life teachers. Small Business Failure? Nuts!
Pardon my enthusiasm, but a large part of your small business'
success is somewhere else. Namely, out among the company's
important external audiences. How they perceive you, and what they believe about you and
your business, directly affect your chances of success. And
that's because those perceptions usually lead to predictable
behaviors, good or bad. So they're pretty important! Now, here comes the public relations professional who tests
the opinion waters, then decides whether, on your behalf, s/he
needs to create, change or reinforce that opinion about you
and your company. This is important because it will affect the
message content you prepare aimed at those perceptions.Next, s/he'll attempt to reach, persuade and move-to-actions-
YOU-desire those very people whose behaviors affect your
operation the most. And we're talking about actions like neutralizing
a rumor, clarifying incorrect perceptions of your service quality,
or reinforcing awareness of your organization's contributions
to the local and regional community. Now, of course, you and your PR counsel agreed up front, at
the beginning of the program, on the behavioral changes you
would like to see occur. So, it's a simple task to review
together just how successfully the public relations effort on
behalf of your small business is, or is not going. As you may suspect, I do not give up easily when it comes to
how public relations can help a small business succeed. So, who does what to get us to this point?First, you list those two or three groups of people, i.e., key
external audiences, like your prime prospects, or certain
segments of area residents, or influential community leaders,
and others if appropriate to your product and service offerings. You need a basis from which to evaluate opinions about you
and your small business. So you need to take the time to
interact with members of these key audiences to find out how
they perceive you, especially any areas of potential trouble.
This is the information gathering phase of the program.Only then can you and your PR person decide just what
opinions need to be recreated, or changed, or simply reinforced.
This becomes the PR objective to be achieved in a realistic,
mutually agreed upon time frame. Now, we prepare messages most likely to persuade both those
harboring misconceptions, or no perceptions at all about you,
and bring them around to your way of thinking.Remember that bad perceptions can lead to bad behaviors and,
fortunately, vice versa! At this point, you need to select the communications tactics -
"beasts of burden," I call them - that will carry your carefully
crafted messages to the eyes and ears of each target audience.
In other words, how will you reach these important people? You and your PR counsel have a wide choice of tactics. Everything
from personal meetings with members of each target audience,
your periodic speeches, emails, newspaper and radio interviews to promotional events, awards ceremonies, news releases, and many
others. As time passes, you must continue to speak with members of your
target audiences watching and listening carefully for signs of
awareness of your business and its role in the marketplace and in
the community. Stay alert as well for a growing receptiveness to
your messages by prospective customers. These are indications that reflect local feelings about your
organization. As your public relations counsel will tell you,
progress in this regard will be directly proportionate to how much
effort and attention you personally give to the outreach program. The good news is that when public relations modifies behaviors
among groups of people important to your organization, the effort
may be pronounced successful when those altered behaviors help
you reach your managerial objectives.Which is why the title of this article remains, "Small Business

Unique gambling destinations 101
Gambling in the last century has become a global phenomenon. From a pastime to a full fledged industry, gambling has seen the ups and the downs of the gamblers as well as the countries. Gambling can be conveniently called as one constant phenomenon happening throughout the world. Glamorous gambling was earlier confined to the hottest spots of all Las Vegas. But as a matter of fact gambling had long back crossed the boundaries of United States of America and had secured its footing in many other countries of the world. Today one may come across a gambling extravaganza at the most unexpected places.
No one had ever heard of a small country Aruba. But it has come up as a great destination for the gambling lovers. Set up in a exotic coastal location Aruba offers from five star hotels to top spas for the gambling freaks. The relaxation in the age for playing games at Aruba has made it an even more sought after destination.
Apart from the sun, surf and sand California is fast becoming a got spot for the gamblers. The overflow of gamblers from the Las Vegas and other heavy gambling areas come here to enjoy the holidays apart from their gambling objectives. Apart from the indigenous tribal casinos and the traditional casino set ups California is also coming up with the new age luxurious resorts for the gamblers.
The Egyptian experience can be had at the Las Vegas casinos. But the fact is that Egypt is attracting heavy gambling traffic towards it self here the grandeur of Egypt stands in all its dignity and valor. Egypt having a lot of historical importance attracts a lot of tourists from all over the world. And travel gambling is fast becoming a favored trend. With casinos open for twenty four hours, it is soon going to become a dream destination. All the five star hotels have put up their best shows in all parts of Egypt and it has come as a surprise gambling destination. A breather for sure! The Asian gambling scenario was marred by the fact that in China gambling is illegal and thus the Asian tourist had to travel far off to Vegas. But with upcoming gambling locations such as Macau and Singapore thins are changing. The most happening place as far as the nocturnal life is concerned is Philippines. The place forms a perfect setting for the casinos and gambling clubs to flourish.
Monaco has its distinctive style and serene environment to support most tourists and attract them. But with attachments like gambling the in flow has become multifold. The beautiful city of Monte Carlo has some of the fabulous casinos and they are attracting many tourist gamblers towards it.
Likewise there are many centers of gambling coming up. The customers also are now having high expectation fro these new destinations, having played at Las Vegas. These new destinations will not only have to face giants like Steve Wynn of Las Vegas but also the up coming destinations to maximize their popularity. The more they can serve for less the better the prospects are. Its all up to the casino owners

Auto Interiors Get New Upgrades
When vehicles get restyled, most car fans and aficionados most likely have thoughts on these vehicles having new exterior parts or getting new features like having additional Extang RT covers as standard features. There are also people which may think of the restyled vehicle having a new type of engine that could give the vehicle a further boost in power. However, this is not all of the things that a vehicle can get when it goes through restyling or redesigning. One of the main parts of the vehicle that we often neglect is the interior. And most of todays vehicles have come with restyled and redesigned interiors that we may not notice much from the outside but we most certainly would be appreciating once we get the chance to take a seat in the cabin. Most vehicles come with tons of features for the interior. Examples of these include the GPS navigation system, heated seats, and also wood trims that are authentic. And yes, these features come as standard ones so there is no need for you to shell out more just to have these for your brand new vehicle. However, for most vehicles today, there is a new kind of upgrade that could maybe get you more interested than you are already now. Auto manufacturers in the United States are now using the Alcantara. This is some kind of enhancement that is most often used to decorate the seats of your vehicle. It serves as a headliner and this actually gives both drivers and passengers the luxury of comfort. Plus, you also get to admire the kind of style it adds to the cabin of the vehicle as a whole. Although most vehicles in the market already use headliners such as the Alcantara, these are commonly dull and do not add life to the design of the interior. Experts say that that the common types of headliners are made up of a low quality kind of cloth that is also lightweight so much so that there is not much effect to the cabin. However, the Alcantara exudes quality. The benefits are also greater compared to the usual types of headliners. The very first auto maker in the US to use Alcantara is Cadillac and it was used with the Cadillac Platinum Series. Derick C. Fronda, the executive director of Toray Ultrasuede America, Inc. says, The Cadillac brand defines automotive luxury in the US. The use of Alcantara as a headliner is an innovative approach to provide vehicle interiors that utilize the finest materials and fabrics from top to bottom. Franchise Agreements, Cash Flow and Royalty Payments
One of the biggest concerns in franchising for a franchise company is cash flow. And that means a franchisor must pay careful consideration to royalty payments from its franchises and franchise outlets. Not only is it important to receive the money, but it also is smart to make sure that the money is due, when the franchisee can pay it and when the franchising company will need it. If a franchisor collects its royalties at the end of the month, when rent is due then the franchisee may have to choose between rent or royalties. In carefully considering the cash flow we needed for our franchising company and the ability of our franchises to pay the fees owed, we modified our franchise agreements to best fit solving this issue for all parties concerned. Below you will find a copy of the clause that I inserted into each and every franchise agreement;2.2 Continuing Fees2.2.1 RoyaltiesThe royalties for each truck/unit will be $100.00 per month. This royalty fee is due and payable in full on the seventeenth (17th) calendar day of each calendar month. These royalty payments are to be paid for every truck and trailer unit Franchisee operates. Payments of continuing royalty fees are not refundable and must be made via bank wire or such other electronic funds transfer procedure as Franchisor may require. The royalty fee may not be uniform for all franchises now being offered by the franchisor. Franchisor reserves the right to trade services for royalties upon our mutual consent. Franchisor reserves the right to administer National and International accounts and collect all monies. Franchisor may subtract out the royalty fees and/or the promotional fund fees that Franchisee pays Franchisor before forwarding any monies due the Franchisee. Payments to the Franchisee will be settled monthly.-------- ------------ -----------As they say; cash is king. Every franchising company needs cash to accelerate faster and faster into the market as they extend their brand-name and grow their companies. And it is not easy to manage a rocketship. All franchisors would be well advised to consult with a CPA and an experienced franchising attorney to best strategize how to accomplish this goal. I hope you will consider this in 2006.Lance Winslow

Reasons to Upgrade Your Fire Alarm Annunciator System
When it comes to public safety, it is important to make sure that all public buildings are properly equipped to provide ample warning in the event of a fire. A good fire alarm annunciator system will accomplish this goal. Here's a few reasons why an up to date fire annunciator system will make all the difference.Computer technology has led to sophisticated fire alarm annunciator systems that are simple to program and read. Armed with sensors that are strategically placed in each room of the facility, the fire alarm annunciator system allows for a central location to identify the locations of any fire activity. This can be very helpful in the evacuation process, as it is possible to know exactly what exits may be impacted by the fire and re-route persons who might normally pass through that area on their way out of the building.Older alarm annunciator systems worked off a series of codes that had to be used to arm the system and also to stop alarms from sounding when they were no longer helpful. This could mean the waste of valuable time once the fire department has responded to the emergency. Tricky codes meant keeping someone nearby to help work the process. With the screen touch technology of today's systems, firemen do not have to figure out how to quiet the system and then guess where the fire may be. Many systems have a layout of the building on the screen and the firemen can easily figure out how to get to the fire by using the virtual floor plan. The simplicity of the newer alarm annunciators mean that the firefighter does not have to deal with an array of warning lights. Instead of trying to silence them as others move into position to handle the fire, the technology of newer systems allows the process to take place with a simple touch. No more consoles that may have up to ninety buttons to deal with.Today's fire alarm annunciator systems also allow the building manager or supervisor the ability to access other information that may not be of use to the fire fighters and stores it with separate access codes. This allows an employee or officer of the company to manage the way the system works during routine monitoring and keeps the process simple in the even of an emergency.Fire alarm annunciator systems today come in many styles that can be integrated into the overall decorating and structural scheme of the building. While still within easy reach, they do not have to look like an afterthought or appear to be simply utilitarian. Simplicity of operation, enhanced safety, and aesthetics that work with your surroundings are all reasons that make the investment in a new fire alarm annunciator system an excellent choice. For vital information on all things concerned with Fire Alarms and Home Security visit Fire Alarms

Mars and Earth Climate and Landscape
In our study of our own Earth we have found patterns in erosion and the landscape made from years of runoff. Anyone who has ever looked at the landscape from a vantage point can see the patterns and the similarities. Is there such a thing as patterns of erosion? Have we found similar patterns here on Earth as we have on the surface of Mars? Actually we have.Anyone who has been a pilot and has flown over the desert, over a mountain range or even in a glider using the areas updrafts and downdrafts understands that patterns of erosion do exist. We know that the fluid dynamics used by water, pressure or heat, which slowly over time brings mountain into river and eventually into silt, has patterns of erosion from top to bottom. In fact some of the best farmland in the world will appear at the bottom of a mountain range where the water has washed the sediment into a valley. Or where a glacier has grinded away rock into fine sand, where a volcano has spread itself out over large area and overtime makes with the dust, dirt and other factors mentioned into a flat plain. We see all this on Mars as well. But cultures have been studying these things on Earth for centuries. Without getting into the debate between the Neptunists and the Plutonists or why the seashells are in the Alps and amongst the rocks and mountains at the highest elevations or why plate Tectonics exist, form, fold under and renew or how volcanoes form or earthquakes occur in this discussion, it is safe to say that what Hutton and the others debated in the royal society of Edinburgh and others in the Geological Societies of the 1830s all 745 of them did indeed understand that nature is a brilliant set of interconnected systems and it's patterns, cycles, flows and frequencies can be quantified and eventually completely explained. They believed that in fact it could all be explained through patterns in mathematics and is quite easier to figure out today using supercomputers with a slight change in the way we observe and have been taught to learn mathematical equations to explain the earth system. If you read 'The Theory of the Earth' and 'Magnum Opus' by Hutton and understand his thoughts on the patterns of erosion, that everything would eventually be warned down the smooth. We know that since our earth wobbles slightly and is not perfectly smooth, and has a moon, and has fluid dynamics which are ever-changing in our own oceans with waves, disruption, underwater volcanic activity make seen with error atmosphere, the heat from the sun, etc. that we will never get a perfectly smooth planet unless mankind takes it upon himself to simplify his existence by getting rid of the moon, balancing out the planet like wheels on a bicycle by perhaps moving icebergs from the polls, relocating ground water, re-distributing mass or changing the heat in the ocean all of which we are not capable technologically yet in there would be significant consequences from other patterns if we did.The energy requirements to do such things are not currently within our realm, but we are close. We are close because of the computer age, the computing ability and the brilliant minds, which are unlocking the secrets of the universe. As we study the waves of gravity, time, light, energy, sound, the earth and the human mind we may find that everything is not is complicated as it appears but only looks complicated from our point of view in this current linear time period. Does this mean we can soon reverse our climate changes? Probably not, Earth will do that for us, this is how climate cycles work here. Does this mean we can modify the Mars atmosphere and landscape? Ah, terra forming and yes someday we will. It maybe sooner than you think; but do think on it. There will be human colonies on the Red Planet some day.Lance Winslow

Network Marketing - Using Ryze.com to its Full Potential
Ryze.com is one of many networking sites which can be found on the internet. It happens to be my favorite, though I do use a few others on occasion. The first thing you need to do after joining ryze.com is to make sure your guestbook is configured to be open to the public. This is important as, in my experience, guestbooks are the most common form of communication between individuals on ryze.It is also important to upload a picture of yourself to your ryze page. People like to know as much as possible about the people they are networking with. The more open about yourself you are with others, the more open they will be with you. When creating your ryze homepage it is important that you try not to sound like a commercia. Ryze is a place to get to know people, not what they are trying to sell. Your personal information should come first. Try to include a little about your family and your life, especially if it pertains in someway to the products/services you are offering! Make a connection yourself and your potential clients will be more likely to find a connection on their own! After your personal information you should put a short description of your business. How you got started, the types of products/services you offer, etc. Try not to make it sound like you are looking for sales, instead you should just be sharing your information with the world. This is also a good time to add a sign up box/link to your mailing list! After you have completed your ryze page, it is time to start networking! Log into Ryze.com and at the top of the page, click on the tab where it says "networks". In the search box type in any topic you have an interest in and hit "go". There is a good chance you should find a few networks you are interested in just by searching for terms. If you have no luck finding a network this way, simply scroll down, towards the bottom of the page there is a list of random networks. Refresh the page until you find some you are interested in.After you have joined a couple networks comes the fun part, the actual networking! Visit each of your network pages and post an introduction on the message boards. Look at some of the previous posts and reply to them. After you have made a few posts on each network it is time to start visiting other member pages! At the bottom of each ryze network page is a link that says "go to a random member's home page" click this, read the members page and post a message in the guestbook at the bottom of their page. It's as simple as that! After you have posted your message, repeat on another page! Once you post a message in someone's guestbook, 99% of the time they will return the favor by visiting your page and signing yours.Do this once or twice a week and you should start to see results in no time!(NOTE: I am in no way affiliated with http://ryze.com. A Look at the Advantages of Secured Loan
If you're in the market for a loan, you might want to stop and consider the advantages of secured loan.If you're not exactly what a secured loan is, it is a type of loan that requires collateral to secure the loan and guarantee that the loan amount is repaid⦠meaning that some piece of property such as an automobile, precious metals, or home equity will be legally granted to the lender so that they can repossess and sell it should the loan not be repaid. This might sound severe at first, but there are many advantages of secured loan that make it worth the risk and provided you make your payments to repay the loan, the risk is not an issue.Below are several advantages of secured loan, so that you might see some examples of how this type of loan can save you both time and money.Lower Interest RatesOne of the main advantages of secured loan is that this type of loan allows you to receive interest rates that you would never be able to get on an unsecured loan. Many lenders are more than willing to offer lower interest rates on loans that have good collateral backing them because the risk involved is minimal to them; the lessened risk works out well for you, since you pay lower interest rates that may save you hundreds if not more in the long run.Of course, there are other advantages of secured loan as well⦠advantages that can help to save you even more money.Better Loan TermsAnother of the advantages of secured loan is that these loans can usually help borrowers to get better loan repayment terms.High value collateral can help convince lenders to offer extended repayment options or allow variable interest rates depending upon how quickly the loan is repaid⦠this means that the loan applicant has more savings options available to them because they can choose the speed at which they wish to repay the loan. This can be useful to borrowers with a limited income⦠the right collateral with a secured loan can get them a loan that they might not have been able to afford otherwise on a payment schedule that they can handle.Improved Credit ScoresOne of the best advantages of secured loan, though, is the potential for credit repair in the repayment of the loan. As long as the borrower makes all of their payments on time, the lender will continue to make positive credit reports to all of the major credit reporting agencies⦠and the more positive reports a person has, the higher their credit score will be.This is especially helpful to the individuals who have had credit problems in the past; getting a secured loan can help them to get a loan that they might otherwise not qualify for, and repaying that loan can do a lot to repair their past credit problems. You may freely reprint this article provided the following author's biography (including the live URL link) remains intact:About The AuthorJohn Mussi is the founder of Direct Online Loans who help homeowners find the best available loans via the http://www.directonlineloans.co.uk website.

1. Offer free original content. It's important to give
your visitors information they can't find anywhere
else. If you're the only source, they'll visit your site.2. Give people free software. Most people like to
find good deals on software for their computers. If
the software is free, that is even better.3. Hold free contests or sweepstakes. Most people
like to win things. If you can fulfill that need, people
will stop by to visit.4. Provide a free web directory. Create a directory
of web sites on a popular topic that will attract your
target audience.5. Offer a free e-zine. Most people love to get free
information that's e-mailed to them regularly. This
saves them time and money.6. Make your web site look professional. You want
to have your own domain name, easy navigation,
attractive graphics, etc.7. Let people read your ad before they get to your
freebie. When you use free stuff to lure people to
your web site list it below your ad copy.8. Attract the target audience that would buy your
product or service. A simple way to do this is to
survey your existing customers.9. Test and improve your ad copy. There are many
people who write an ad and never change it. Make
sure you get the highest possible response rate.10. Give people an urgency so they buy now. Many
people are interested in your product but they put
off buying it until later and eventually forget about it.About the author:Rojo Sunsen is a specialized bounty hunter who prefers to work quietly/confidentially for the benefit of her clients.

Lease Residual Values ..Who Determines Them in a New Car Lease? You'd be Surprised!
Residual values are often determined in-house by the largest manufacturers Others will turn to outside parties, such as Automotive Lease Guide (on the Internet) for help.Where does the money come from?
The money to pay the manufacturer is often a bank, credit union, pension plan or automobile manufacturer's leasing or lending subsidiary. It agrees to provide funds to pay the dealer the selling price of the auto. It is often called the money sourceThe Money source must then find someone to determine a residual value for every auto it proposes to buy from a manufacturer. If the market is depressed at the end of a lease and theresidual value is higher than the used car value, then huge losses result to the Money source. This is not a business for the squeamish.Who are typical Money sources? (not necessarily current)
American Honda Finance Corporation
Banc One Credit Company
BMW Financial Services, NA, Inc.
Chase Automotive Financial Service
Chrysler Credit Corporation
Ford Motor Credit
Fifth Third Bank
General Motors Acceptance Corp.
Huntington National Bank
Mazda American Credit
Mercedes-Benz Credit
M&I Automobile Leasing
Mitsubishi Motors Credit of America, Inc.
Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.
Provident Auto Lease
SouthTrust Bank N.A.
Toyota Motor Credit Corp.
Usbank
Volkswagen Credit, Inc.
Wells Fargo Bank
The customer (lessee) actually contracts with a Money source that may, in fact, be a savings institution in which the customer has deposited funds. Some Money-sources are employee pension funds in which the lessee is essentially borrowing his own money.Who does the lessee really pay?
The customer leasing the auto begins by agreeing to pay the Money source a monthly payment for the term of the lease. At the end of the lease the Money source that actually owns the car, gets the car back and hopes it can be sold for at least as much as the residual value quoted to the customer in the lease, plus some incidental costs associated with the selling price. If not, the money Source loses money. For example, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that Chrysler lost of $400,000,000 in 2001 on end-of-lease cars that sold for less then the contracted residual values.Who decides the interest rate on the lease?
The Money source privately decides on an interest rate it needs to return a profit to its investors or lenders. A third-party firm, such as LeaseLink (on the internet), is hired to prepare the computer displays of monthly lease payment vs. interest rate. That it displays on the participating Dealer's computers. It displays varying financing terms and monthly lease payments and the residual value and interest rates or money factors for the brands sold by the Dealer. Included in this information is the identity of several Money sources, whose rates actually compete with the Dealer's own manufacturer. The Dealer's role
The new car Dealer is simply a facilitator between the lessee and the . It has no loyalty to its manufacturer in this regard and is really the customer's best friend by showing the customer several monthlyleasepayments and interest rates from several Money sources.Residual values based on Money source vehicle preferences
Some Money sources choose to finance only certain types vehicles, such as Jeeps, based on historical residual resale value data and successfully having recouped the residual value in the eventual sale of the used Jeeps at the end of the lease. At the end of the lease
When the lease is finalized, the Money source pays the sale price; a portion is used to pay the dealer's cost and the balance is the dealer's profit. And the happy customer drives away with a smile and a lighter wallet.Copyright 2006 by Beacon Data LLC All rights reserved.Ralph Hoffmann, article author, graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin, majoring in Applied Mathematics. What Drives Repeat Visitors To Your Site?
There can be zillions of reasons why your visitors return to your web site. One might be very interested in seeing your animated photo on your main page, but kidding aside I've gathered 12 elements that invites your visitors to repeat their visits.1. High-Quality Content. We have all read that "Content Is The Thing" according to Michael Dean of Kittyfeet.com. We have not set-up our website to just fill-it with endless links of your favorites but we're there to discuss what can we contribute to the web. Fill it with regularly-updated quality content and they'll return asking for more.2. Ease Of Use.We have all heard of "user-friendly" computers and softwares. Why not do the same to our web site. Provide a navigation bar that's easy (and fun) to use forgetting the fancy stuff.3. Quick To Download.Assume your web site is going to be viewed by the oldest browser, slowest modem and limited number of palettes.4. Updated Frequently. You have prepared high-quality content but the problem is you only update it once a year. Set a realistic goal first that at the least you'll bring new content to it once a month and then increase the frequency.5. Rewards, Contest and Incentives.Make sure your visitors enjoy a very "rewarding" visit to your site and expect him to return or just remind him to get his prize, reward or a mention of his name in your monthly newsletter. He'll sure return. Contest is one great idea. Email me on this one and I'll give you the free code.6. Favorite Brands. We all know zdnet.com is the site for free downloads, cnn.com for up-to-the-minute customizable news. Why not link to them? Do you know that zdnet.com offers link partnership? (I don't get money from this one, folks :-)) I know a site that just updates their visitors on what's happening to over 200 branded ezines and you know what visitors like it and return.7. Cutting-edge Technology. We can't all compete with this category but I'm sure there are lots of software out there to simplify the task. So grab one!8. Games.Online game sites are becoming famous nowadays. Visitors too need sometime to play online. Give what they need and they'll ask you for more.9. Purchasing Capabilities.Web surfers also shop around and they're looking for convenience on how to do it. Be the first one to do it for them. Add a shopping cart of some sort to your web site and it would be better if you can accept credit cards online.10. Customizable Content.Try to create a simple database (Excel of MS Access would do) and connect it on your web site. Every visitor will have its own content and experience. An example of this is planetit.com (tell them I referred you, just enough to receive thank you from them, yes, no money involved here either.)11. Chat and BBS.Message Board or interactive forums replaces BBS (bulletin board system) nowadays. Even I have one on my web site (just to make sure) and I'm amazed at the number of visitors from around the globe who post on it. Just make sure you get their email addie so you can reply.12. Freebies, Jokes and Quotes.I don't know about this but I've received return visits on this one. I even got a search engine for jokes on my site and people return just to read jokes. These same people who spent considerable amount of money reading jokes and quotes will soon ask for a price quote. You know studies have shown that it takes 4 to 5 visits for a person before he sets his eyes on what you can offer. A simple element (but it's not included on the 12 elements I've mentioned) is just to place a text on your web site (bold letters, not caps) saying "Please bookmark this site" can go a long, long way.Rebrandable ebooks, software for free
